SO your saying if your elected by people you can be a dicatator? (Chavez was elected) What about people that can be elected unlimited does that make you a dictator (If you say yes then Uk, and others in europe are dictators!)

Is Chavez going to be ruler for life? Probably so. With absolute authority? Probably so. That's a dictator. It doesn't matter if his people elect him over and over again if he has absolute authority.

Merely having an elected Republican Congress in there isn't enough to grant him dictatorship. One could say that Bush knelt down to them since he never once crossed their demands when it came to begging for free stuff, if you want to play this game.

So a dictator that is popular is not a dictator? What kind of logic is that? So if you say Bush was a dictator in 2002, how could it hold when he still had a 70 percent approval rating then? And if 51 percent voted for him in 2004? Can't have it both ways, there.

Similarly, dictators are routinely "elected" and supported by 99-100 percent of the vote. Many of them couldn't become dictators in the first place without at least some popular support.
