What the heck does ironworks do?!
In civ 3, a city must have iron and coal inside its border to be able to build ironworks. But now, any city can build it. Ok, so I build it and see such production:
total 120,
base 45,
+50% from buildings (forge + factory),
+50% from power,
+100% from resources,
+50% for capital,
+25% for organized religion,
-3 for current build overflow correction.
45*(1+0.5+0.5+0.5+0.25)=45*2.75=123.75, round down and minus 3 you get 120. The so-called 100% from resource doesn't show up at all!
Is ironworks simply a bug? Or you need the resource inside the city's border to get the bonus? Civlopedia is just not clear!
