Hi-

Am playing regent on 1.21f
I accidentaly left "space victory" on when starting the game, is it possible to deactivate it after the game has started?

Also, if the victory conditions change, will the AI adapt to the new set of rules, stop building the silly spaceship and attempt, say, a conquest victory? (it would be nice ;-)

TIA,

Stephan

As far as I know, it's not normally possible. But if you get a save game editor (look in the Utility Programs forum), it might be.

I wish I could do that. Especially in a game where you are lacking uranium to start the space project. Other countries begin building it and your only other option is to start a war to ensure your victory.

I sometimes forget to turn off allowing civs to respawn. SInce it generally comes up early I'm always tempted to start over but who gives up on a good game?

Yes. Use the save game editor. I'm not sure if the AI is aware of winning. They will try to build the spaceship if it is enabled. I think they are mainly out to make the player lose.

:D I know my goal is to always make them lose. I guess I've just never seen anyone put to writing so well.

And yes, I too have heard that the save game editor can help you change the conditions. I've never needed or wanted to so I've never tried.
