Is it possible to change the type of the mana node ?

I captured a mana node from my enemy during war, but unfortunately a "wrong" type of mana node improvement was built on it (I already had that type of mana). I destroyed the improvement, but the game allows me to build only the same type of improvement again. Is there any way to build another type of mana improvement on top of mana resourse on top of which there has been some mana improvement ?

The second spell of the Meta Magic sphere is called Dispel and will make mana nodes raw and colorless. Meta Magic is unlocked by Sorcery.

But of course you'll need to build a metamagic mana node first in order to get access to Metamagic tier II spell "Dispel", unless you vassalize the Amurites and demand their palace mana or you are the Amurites yourself.

Yes, which accounts for the relative rarity of its use. It's no wonder the "We'll get along fine so long as you remember the mana nodes are ours" Amurites have direct acess to Metamagic via their Palace.
