Is it possible to mod teams into the single player games and individually set each AI player's difficulty?

I see that they have added teams but only to multiplayer. Is it possible for someone to create a mod that enables teams for single player as well? Plus, also the option to individually set each AI player's difficulty level?

Click lan play. its right beside multiplayer. create a local game. im unsure if you can select different levels of difficulty for each ai player.
