John has said that he admires Roosevelt more than any other President. There are a lot of similarities between the two. I mean as similar as you can get for two personalities who are pretty much a century apart.

So what do you guys think? Roosevelt pretty much took America and put it on the world stage. It became the major superpower we know today. Can McCain emulate?

Since McCain aint so bad I have adopted the anybody but (Hillary) Clinton philosophy. But I would still like Obama to win.

I think McCain's anti-labor, neoliberal pro-business attidute common to the Republican party, is to large extent the exact opposite of FDR.

So? What's he got to do with it?

I can't really say, though. Is McCain really as much of a war mongerer as TR was? Spanish-American war and all...

How dare you compare McCain to either Roosevelt.

I hope not. Both of them are to corrupt for me to tolerate.

John McCain is no where near the True American that Teddy is.

Be quick or be dead, Shadylookin. :D

McCain is pretty much a dead cert to get the Republican nomination at the moment, though I understand that he's regarded as a bit of a maverick by more conservative/right wing Republicans?
