Is there a version of this which adheres more closely to the original goals?

    I've been looking for a mod that focuses on keeping the core gameplay pure while fixing some of the bigger problems in the game, and this mod fits that to a large degree.

    Where I draw the line though is the extreme changes in Civ and Leader special abilities.

    I'd also like to see the tech tree changes, but can't find those on the wiki.

    For the tech tree, I've made some sreenshoot.
    (A zip with .tga files, if I've not failed to upload it)

    At the question : Is the CEP is a mod which modify the game ?
    I answer :
    When I watch Marbozir playing to civ, I see no real difference between the game and the game with CEP, with the exception of :
    - A bigger line af view at the first turn. (good point for me)
    - "Events and decisions", which is something from a Civ4 extention, and look like a mod in Civ5 (little bad point)

    All other changes keep the spirit of the game. Tech, Policies, Civs, Units (some changes on the upgrade tree), Faith, Wonders : all thoses changes can disturb a player which had made a lot of game without the CEP (because there is a lot of technical changes), and improve the balance between strategies, but don't realy change the game.
