is there a way to revert back to before the april patch

i was having so much fun with this game before the latest patch, now it seems like you have to rush an army and science or you are going to get swarmed by barbs. i have two games in a row now where australia is a murderous runaway maniac when he is supposed to be the pacifist. what the hell happened, and why all the new units?

Australia has always been a warmonger in the early game in my experience. It seems like many alleged peace lovers (like Teddy) are warmongers in the opening phase. I couldn't tell you why.

The.new units have been added seemingly in response to the many requests for them. I've heard that having the extra gradations helps the AI, but I haven't seen that myself. It could explain your warlike games, though - having the men-at-arms and trebuchet earlier makes them easier to upgrade to than before, so the AI will do it sooner, boosting it's combat score, which makes it more likely to wage war. That's speculation, though.

As for whether you can revert...probably, but I use the Switch so I couldn't tell you how, sorry.

You can right click on Civ 6 if you use Steam and select properties. Switch to the betas tab and us the code ineedlegacyaccess. That way you can play on the last live build instead of the current. This works until a new patch is released. Sinuce NFP is over you might be lucky and it might take some time for another one.

I kinda wish I could switch Poland back to pre patch. I actually liked having winged hussars on the culture tree. They had a cool niche faith/culture playstyle where you could skip campuses and still get your UU early. Now you get them later and have to invest more in science.

What do you mean? Winged Hussars are unlocked at Mercantilism now, which is a civic and not a tech.

Oh cool I thought when they took Currassiers spot they moved to that tech. Nm, I'm cool with it then.
