I think the new continent line for Africa might affect the British UHV. I'm under the impression that most people only settle sub-Saharan Africa though, so I doubt it makes a huge difference.

It also affects the Portuguese UHV. I built Casablanca but couldn't figure out why I hadn't won with 15 extra-European cities. I realized that Morocco is counted as Europe...

Well I don't have BTS, so my bad. But still, really? I was doing the Rome UHV on Monarch the other day, for fun, and like usual, I built the GW to protect from barbarians. When I finished it, the graphic for the wall showed up along my borders in Africa as well. I don't know if that's supposed to happen, maybe it is - though I thought the graphic only showed up on the continent the effect applies to. So from there, I remembered this update, and assumed that northern Africa was now the same continent as Europe - But no, barbarians were still able to attack Carthage. I'm confused.

Are you sure that they were Barbarian units and not perhaps Natives? Natives (Impi) are never affected by the Great Wall. I learnt this the hard way after once building the GW as Egypt (a long time ago now).

Unless there are now native elephants and camel archers, yes, I'm sure they were barbarians. (And even if there are, I'm still pretty sure they were barbarians)
I think I might have a save - I can go try it again and take a screenshot or something.

Yes the Great Wall does definately not affect North Africa if you build it in Europe. AFAIK, there are 2 "definitons" of continents.

Rhye, I see there's no UHV area for the Americans? In my latest American game I had trouble removing the Spanish from San Jose and wasn't even sure I was required to do that! Maybe next version could include their UHV area?

Aslo, for the English UHV, Africa and Asia overlap in the middle east. Dose that mean if i have a city there it counts as one for BOTH continents?
