I will admit that I've never had a need for one quite that big.
If I had that many units, I'd probably break it up into 3-4 stacks for faster conquest.
I did do that, but thought that this would be funnier.
I didn't either but once you've got a big stack, there's no going back.
Not quite as big as yours, but pre-rifling:
I've made larger stacks, but very rarely. Usually on big maps with a bunch of stuff waypointed to one spot. More than needed in one place! But that's still very large, yes.
Using nukes/planes? This should mop anything the AI can muster. It would even on deity, the problem would be getting it before you lose.
To be brutally honest with myself, I often find that my modern era end-game is not only inefficient but incredibly boring.
It's great taking it to an enemy SOD and slapping them hard but I'm convinced that if I'm ever going to solidly compete on deity, I need to close the deal much faster than this. Maybe it's because I always play huge maps with 15 opponents. This is simply the most extreme example of how it usually ends.
Still, my massive stack gives me comfort.
