I am playing King level, extra huge map, epic speed.
At the moment, in turn 866 (1847 AD), I have got 19 social policies, 6 ideological tenets, and am 4 technologies ahead of the next competitor (on a different continent), who has got only 18 social policies and 1 ideological tenet. The next competitors are at 16 social policies only.
Due to military superiority in quantity and quality, I am about to steamroll the rest of my continent with ease. Does the AI still have a chance to make the game difficult for me ? I have got 37 cities with 736 pop. If I annex some more cities, will the penalties brake down my social and scientific progress to an extend that the next competitor (16 cities with 283 pop) has a chance to overtake me ?
Or shall I better leave this game for good and start a new one for challenges ?
I had all victory types disabled and play for domination in all fields. Only in the political arena I am a bit back at the moment, being sanctioned in the congress (29 votes out of 119) and denounced by many. But after conquering my continent and creating some more vassals with only one city each, I think I will be able to regain the trust of the other nations.
