Isabella, Queen of Spain, had a single vision – the expansion of her power. At home, she dedicated herself to establishing Spain's next chapter as a bastion of Catholicism via the Inquisition and Reconquista. Abroad, she sponsored the expansion of Spanish might into the New World. Clever and ruthless, Isabella built the groundwork for Spain’s future upon war and wealth.

The return of map-dependent RNG bonuses. Booooooo

At least she has the naval bonuses to give her some more consistency. I appreciate how they're all tied to Gold.

Disappointed she's a brunette again, and the wimple is a little anachronistic--should be a hennin or mantilla. Love the houppelande, though.

I'm pleased for the Exploration/Natural Wonders Isabella design. I enjoyed it in Civ V

I’m just glad they buffed it with the naval bonus, but also very pleased that Exploration gameplay seems to make this ability more interesting and consistent

Happy to see the great Catholic Queen back. She was one of my favorite leaders in Civ5, both in design and personality.

The bonus is nice though a repetition from Civ5, the leader as well. I'm wondering if Spain has had any other interesting rulers fitting for the discovery age? We just had had Philipp II so what about Charles I.?

I mean, fidelity-wise her model is completely fine. This is nowhere near the levels of Switch Himiko.

It’s just that they reaaaally leaned into the 1400s Renaissance portrait style with her design. And most of those portraits didn’t have a speck of lifelike expression in their eyes.

Me when I realise I still have to wait through 3 months before Civ 7 drops.

I was really not expecting her to return with near-exact replicas of her Civ 5 bonuses. I don't like how RNG-dependent it is. I appreciate the leader model for Isabella though.
