Last summer I was in Portsmouth, and every time I asked directions people started with "Well, we're on an island you know... " (y)
Their islandness seems quite important to them.

I don't Know why either, but I have two suggestions.

1. Are you running v1.61, as this is a 1.61 file.
2. I had to change the file extension to get it to load, you could try renaming it to xxx.Civ4WorldBuilderSave

I renamed it and it worked! just a question... is your name martin? becouse the roman civ leader name is martin and i suppose is from your save

this is a map i never expected to see looks great though i'll play it later. i wondered if you could tell me if the Avon river is on it?

No Avon River, that is further to the west, the only rivers included are the Beaulieu River on the mainland, and The Medina, Newtown River, and River Yar on the Island.
