Good luck!

I expected they'd start after dark.

I hope it won't be very protracted, Israeli casualties must remain low.

They always are, compared with the Palestinians.

I don't care about P. casualties.

Israeli casualties must remain low to maintain the public approval for the military operations. This is an assymentric war, 1:10 casualty rate is a standard, but it's still too high for Israel. So far the IAF bombing and Hamas terrorist shelling caused some 400 dead in Gaza and 4 dead in Israel. 1:100 is much better, but still not good enough.

And that's why this will continue...

Censorship lifted: Israel begins mobilizing thousands of reserve soldiers using emergency orders.

Just follow through, IDF. No halfassing, just follow through. Completely.

Make that tens of thousands. :(

It's interesting to see the Pro-Israeli camp degenerate to the moral level of the nazis. Oh, I shouldn't draw such generalizations from Winner. I apologize.

actually, it would be pretty cool if they both did.

Yes but then USA get's involved then Iran get's involved and then who knows what!

We want to avoid that. (btw you seem like a jackass for saying something like that).

For the first time since the start of Operation Cast Lead, IDF ground troops entered the Gaza Strip on Saturday evening, exchanging fire with Hamas gunmen.

The IDF said that a large amount of Armored Corps, Engineering Corps and Infantry troops entered the territory with the purpose of destroying Hamas infrastructure and preventing rocket fire by taking control of launching pads in northern Gaza.

The IDF warned that terrorists using civilians as human shields would bear full responsibility for their fate.

The cabinet also approved the call-up of thousands of reservists, mostly from combat units, but also from the Home Front Command.

Several hours before the ground operation commenced, the army began to fire artillery shells into the northern part of the Strip.
