Kids usually like their dolls. We don't need more kids being taught to love OBL and Saddam.

So you censor what parents can teach their children? This is an outright violation of free speech.

No, it isn't. Free speech is a right which only applies while not hurting others. Parents who teach their children to behave like terrorists and mass murderers hurt their children and endanger society.

Then I guess you don't want Israeli children playing with IDF dolls either then?

By owning a Osama or Sadam doll that is somehow teaching me how to be a terrorist?

1. Israeli soldiers are neither terrorists nor murderers.
2. I've never seen IDF dolls.

It doesn't teaches you HOW to be a terrorist. However such dols can and are likely to be used in order to present Osama and Saddam as heros.

We've been down this road before and I've got better things to do today. For anyone who doesn't know, my opinion applies only to some personnel and is by no means a blanket statement of the whole organization.

Pity, they could be quite a patriotic thing...

In regards to Osama and Saddam dolls, I personally would love to have some. I could spend all day executing them in a microwave one at a time...

But wouldn't IDF dolls represent the organization rather than these individuals?

Maybe, but it would never sell enough to be profitable.

Execute other things. Things that won't be used in order to brain wash children.

One does not have the right to believe that Osama or Sadam are heroes?

In a free society that is one of the prices we must pay, some people may believe that Stalin, or Hitler or Osama are heroes and that is their right, as long as they do not commit a crime themselves.

The dolls are a joke. I doubt they are even for kids.

Hitler dolls are forbidden in Germany(and in most of the world, including my country), not to mention various other hate-symbols, and I don't see anyone whining about it.

Got to agree with andrew here.

Regardless of the country in question, taking such action clearly does restrict freedoms.

Well I did not know that, and now that I do I think it is wrong. There was a thread a while back about a man in Germany being arrested for teaching his dog a Hitler salute. And I think that man's right to free speech was also violated. Funny how people want to fight repression with repression.

I don't Know about Isreal, but in Canada for example there is a clause for free speech called a reasonable limitation. The courts decide if a law passed by the goverment violates this cause. This little clause is what prevented someone caught with kiddy porn from hiding behind freedom expression.
