It seems my previous frustration was simply caused by me failing to correctly update the SVN, dammit.
Now it's fixed, though.
And thus, I started a random map, gave myself ALL TECH, gave myself a few random Space Units...
And. Here. We. ARE!!!
It WORKS!
At least in the sense that you actually TELEPORT to another map!
Okay, these are (probably?) the premade maps that come with the mod, but HELLO!!!
We. Have. Space. As. A. (list of). SEPARATE. MAP(s). NOW!!!
This is HUUUGE!!!
Now we need @Pit2015 to make a version without the Space part (redundant), so we can play an Actual Earth with Actual Space.
Wow, just WOW!!!

Lol, really works. No loads, just literally map change. But i have concern about returning into earth map with big size. May be oom.
 
But really, i don't think playing with this option will be a good choice for now. For the start, units on another maps will not be checked for remain available turns and you must manually go to a all maps and check them. This will be really frustrating, when you will be have a bunch units in space maps a so needed to check them mostly every turns.

I kinda didn't, just screenshoted the immediate result and closed the game, lol.
I'm now playing a normal solo game to test the unlocking of space units, though this is probably unnecessary (as in, they should work fine).
I do totally agree with the worry about MAF, though.
And wondering how WB would work as well.
Yeah, maybe I actually should do some more testing, lol.
 
I can't wait to start a Brand New Game!!!! Can you still Customize a Game to be exactly what you want with all the options and do you have to start it as a Scenario or what is the way to choose the multimap and new calendar Game?

Calendar is a BUG option, so it should be available in any game type (you first need to activate it in BUG => C2C).
Multi-maps is a Game Option, so it's only available in a Custom Game (which includes random games and scenarios), but it can also be included in a Scenario file as well.
Of course, you can edit the Game Options file (don't recall where it is) to include Multi-maps by default, then ALL games should have it (except for non-Custom Scenarios).
 
Aaand... UPDATE!

Bad news: You do need to manually check each map every turn, and UI is kinda jumpy as well.

Good news: It WORKS! And, heck, even WorldBuilder can edit each map SEPARATELY! See screens, loool!

Annoying news: Getting to Space is very contingent on specific resources. While it makes sense, it was a pain in the ass to track what-the-heck-am-I-lacking-to-launch-stuff-DAMMIT! LOL!

Ps. New time option seems working good and kinda cool feature too. Cannot wait till weekend to start new map. Hope there won't be the same bugs like now, when turns stuck in infinite ai waiting, because ai cannot move some unit into city, or whatever the reason is.

I hope I got the right on I just chose the Custom game and it gave me a Game that had much fewer options and choices and a Radically different tech tree, no Mastery Victory option, and no prehistoric Era.. I got to figure out how to get the new custom Game , I guess

You MUST reinstall from scratch.
Literally delete the Assets folder and copy it from the latest SVN.
There's one file (related to Modular stuff) that kinda looks like the same culprit I had trouble with (but now don't).
I haven't checked, but I can't point at anything really different in the Tech Tree, though it's way to big to remember all details.

It's user-NOT-friendly, but it's still technically playable, I'd say.
I haven't got any problems besides needing to manually switch maps, and each turn starting a bit weird (but not bugged).
Of course, AI will still be too stupid to use Space stuff, I betcha, but that's a separate issue.

I am doing something wrong. I deleted the assets folder in the SVN, I updated the SVN and I thought it would take more time to redownload everything, but it only took slightly longer than an average SVN Update. I will wait until I better understand which files to delete and how to do a proper install on multimaps!!! Do you think they will have something that will be easier for non-tech people like me to download when the get the Mod to the FULL Version 44 C2C??
 
Here is a late-stage Space Mod Game and a UEM King Solomon Game that shows you the options that I like to play with. Always Pangaea, Mastery Victory, No Higher than Noble Difficulty, Regular Barb Activity, No City razing and used to be Random Events but I really don't like fires in cities so in my UEM Game I turned Random Events off and I NEVER like to play Revolutions!!! Hope you can read the attached files!!! The Space Mod Game I started on Ground Hog Day!! I ALWAYS play the Largest Map available and I don't consider a game finished until I have researched the ENTIRE Tech Tree and Colonized as much of the Universe as possible and I am really looking forward to Barbarians and Wild Animals in Space. This is my peculiar way of Enjoying this Great C2C MOD!!!

Not in SVN, loool, in the folder where you play it from. Or do you play it directly from the SVN folder? Then it was unnecessary, lol.

I really doubt (and hope not) there would be any Barbs or animals in Space, since their spawning SHOULD be limited to Earth terrain (or Earth map, which is the same in this case).
But I haven't played long enough (or with Barbs ON), so I can't say anything from my own experience.
I still hope it won't happen, loool.
On the other hand, "Alien Planets" should be made of "Earth terrain", so they WOULD probably spawn animals (Barbs follow a different logic, I guess).
Which is why I so highly hope that this Multi-maps stuff is modular, so you CAN load tons of various maps without overcrowding Memory.
I mean, even the existing Space maps put together WOULD cause an easy MAF, yet it didn't happen, nor did I feel any slowness of any loading, so we can hope.
Or get an explicit answer from the MODDERS, eh?
Guys, anyone cares to share that bit of info with us, please?
