Jan. 6th commission

NM is 2 on that list.

"New Mexico

New Mexico has the fifth-largest percentage of workers employed by the federal government (6.06%). The ratio of federal funding to income taxes paid is 1.87, the fourth-highest for this metric. Meanwhile, the federal government supplies the state with 41.80% of its revenue."

We have 3 National labs and an Airforce base and very few people over all (2+ million).

White House Patched Through Call To Jan. 6 Rioter During Violence, Tech Expert Says

"The American people need to know that there are connections that need to be explored more," warned a communications analyst for the Jan. 6 House panel.

We are a poor state with 3 national labs and an Airforce base plus big BIA offices for our 19 Indian tribes. The DoD has a pretty huge budget pointed our way.

Of the two Dem leaning- states in the top 10, NM makes sense given the historical relationship with the military, but what's the deal with Maine?

I suspect that due to its small population, a small-by-raw-numbers federal workforce would employ a large-by-percentage population of Maine. Add into that all the federal employees needed for border crossings, coastal and fisheries work, federal projects/constituency bribery projects, etc., and it adds up.

For 2021: Federal Workers in Maine: 12,989

Two biggest:
Navy: 7,336
VA: 2,167

Workers though are only part of the story. The Navy has a shipyard in Portsmouth that likely gets a pile of money.

It smells worse every time something new comes up.

The J6 committee will hold another "hearing" Wednesday afternoon. Committee members say they hold afternoon hearings because Fox News airs thek. The evening hearings are ignored in favor of Bowtie Tuck and the Evening Lying Buttholes.

The hearing for today is underway.

On Nov 11, 2020 Trump ordered all US troops out of Afghanistan and Somalia by Dec 31, 2020. He did this because he knew he had lost the election and wanted to screw Biden. The military ignored the order.

The committee is highlighting Trump's actual participation in all aspects of the effort to subvert the election in spite of his knowledge of the fact that he lost fair and square. It's a very good presentation.

"Hang Donald Trump!"

It sounds like there's a lot of documentation that the Secret Service knew of the protestor's plans to come to the capitol armed, and of threats made in advance against Pence, specifically.

There is mounting evidence that DHS, FBI, and SS basically ignored their intelligence to allow Trump supporters free reign. Tacit support for Trump's plan?

Trump subpoenaed to testify before the committee. Under oath.

Presumably after he's done with his deposition for that civil trial?
