Hi everyone!

This is a pet project that appeared out of me working on Realism Invictus mod. In a search for flavor units, I converted some planes from Supreme Ruler game and then found myself endlessly retexturing those for different civs. I ended up making a ton of units, and I decided to post them separately here on CFC for everyone's benefit.

Almost all units come from Supreme Ruler (except for MiG-15 that came from Blitzkrieg), and are heavily retextured by me. I claim no credit for models themselves (but I must say I find them brilliant and exactly detailed enough to use in Civ 4), I only worked retexturing them and sometimes made minor modifications (such as making a Su-27 out of Su-30).

Therefore, feel free requesting more textures for existing planes (I'll be happy to oblige), but no new planes are coming except for the ones here. I'll be posting them gradually, but to ease the anticipation, here's the list of what I converted: F-86, MiG-15, J-29, F-4, F-5, Mig-21, Canberra, Harrier, Su-25, Su-27/30, Mig-29, F-15, EF-2000, F-22. This overlaps somewhat with units that were already posted on CFC by others; I don't mean to disrespect their work, but I felt compelled to have all my planes in a single style, so I redid even the stuff that was already available.

I didn't do any airshow colors, limiting myself to actual military units (at least on purpose; there is a couple of cases where I couldn't determine if the colors used were airshow or particularly gaudy war paints). The list of civs is specific to RI mod, which is why it might seem a bit strange to you (you'll see a lot of Indonesia and North Africa, for instance, but no Portugal or Netherlands). But if you feel the need to see some more, just ask. I tried to limit myself to only those who historically used said planes, but I can try whipping up some fantasy stuff if needed.

Sorry, but you should have read my initial post a bit more attentively. I said I don't make models, so the actual planes will be limited to those I listed, though I can certainly make more civ-specific textures if requested. Since I don't make models, but rather rip them out from other games, I am limited to what is already out there.

But you are actually in luck; I have ripped some of the planes you've requested from other games earlier. I won't be posting them to CFC download database, since I don't feel I contributed anything to them (I haven't retextured them in the way I did the ones above, they just use the textures they originally had), but they are included in SVN version of RI, and hence I see no reason to withhold them from you. Here you, what I can spare from your request list: Saab 21R, Saab 32, Super Etendard, JH-7. Again, I take NO credit for them at all, all I did is converted them for Civ 4 use. All use Jet Fighter anims, except for J21R that uses Stealth Bomber anims.

Thanks! I am a big fan of RI, but I haven't tried the SVN version yet only 3.3.

I'm working on a mod inspired to a large degree of RI, but with a few more unit classes but less features. For that mod I have made hundres of reskins of existing models made by
the modding community, so if there is anything you are looking for in terms of reskins of existing models I might just have made it.

I would love to see what you came up with! Can't formulate any particular requests since all info you gave me is "hundreds", but I'd gladly browse the assets you created and add some to RI with your permission.

Sounds good! I will probably start a thread for it, I wasn't planning on releasing much before the actual mod but it takes much more time finishing a large mod that one thinks. Now all I have to do is organize this in a logical
manner :)

If you wish to go through the effort. I could just as happily sift through raw files if you just threw them my way. :)
