Interesting. Yes, it's possible, but not easily, and maybe not really worth the effort.
assuming this is why you removed the Teutonic Knight? My only criticism of the new Prussia is that the UUs are in the same era, but that is certainly not unusual. I just personally prefer them to be spread out a bit. But you and your wingman, Janboruta, do amazing work and I will certainly be adding this...
That's the reason, yes. I felt the original design had moved in the direction of a fuller Prussian civ enough to get rid of the final homage to the Order. The best thing, I feel, about the units being of the same era, is that it allows them to work together, and gives you more time to train veteran units, as per the UA.
they will certainly be a major military force to be reckoned with!
Yes hello I was wondering where Stalin went, is he getting updated or...
Umm... he may be getting updated with super-awesome attributes... just saying...
Sweet, after him i'll just need FDR and Churchill :'3
These look great. But I am having a problem. I get load up a civ, say Stephen of Hungary. I play a few turns, save it. When I try to reload, the game crashes.
The only other mods I am using are the other JFD mods and the More Luxuries mods.
Because of the recent Let's Play of Hungary, I don't think it would be that one causing the issue. What mods of mine, specifically, are you using? Some are a little outdated.
I was using Hungary, I think Germany - Hitler, Mexico. And the More luxuries.
I tried it again with Hungary and other mods and it gave me a runtime error when I tried to load a saved game.
I actually had this happen with my attempted reload of my first Norway game, but my attempt at game #2 worked fine.
Wow...Just thought about which civs I will involve in my next game. Behold, the Battle Royal...
A little ultraviolence anyone?
Heh, good luck.
Just don't update Prussia before you complete your game, as that update will likely come soon.
I'm afraid there's really no way of knowing, for me, why this happens.
Awesome mods JFD. Just started my first attempt at deity. Downloaded Lenin and Hitler, and started with Poland. Just guess who was visiting my borders after just a few turns...
Anyway, have you considered Finland as a new mod project? I know that there is one already, but I think it lacks the quality your mods have. I don't have any specs in mind, but I can give some info to research for.
Leader choices; Mannerheim or maybe Kekkonen
-Hakkapeliitta, (actually a Finnish unit, now under Sweden.)
-Winter War sniper (probably the most times reposted TIL at Reddit White Death
-Many other unique war stories/units from two different wars against Russia.
-Bomarsund Fort, Viabor Fort (Both part of the Crimean War 1853)
These come from the top of my head, I think there would be many more. Some other interesting facts/ special abilities could be:
-War reparations as Finland did pay the reparations fully, and boost it's economy doing so. Maybe a golden age after a peace treaty?
-Has been under Swedish and Russian rule. Only nation to wage war with Soviet Union, and remain independent. Twice.
-Ally of Nazi Germany and after a turncoat manouver, ally of Soviet Union in ww2.
-School system and public healthcare praised nowadays everywhere.
...and tons more from people more smart than me.
No plans for Finland, no; and too long a list to consider them now. But I do expect Hypereon will be updating his Finland mod eventually, which I do feel is of a pretty high standard. I appreciate the sentiment though
I dunno. Hypereon's Finland hasn't been updated since July 2012, and he hasn't uploaded any other mods since then. I'm thinking it's probably there to stay as it is.
Oh, don't worry, it is genuinely going to updated. I don't know what exactly will be in it, but Hypereon is still active, and we're also going to be working on Italy shortly. Anyway, back to JFD...
(Also, Khoira, would it have been our good friend Josef paying a visit, by any chance? )
Hey JFD, I think I may have found the solution. When I initially load up the mod, from the start page I go to "MODS", enable them then start my game. Normal stuff. When I want to load a saved game, with other mods I can do so straight from the start.
With your mods, I need to go back to "MODS" and load the game from there.
Anyways these look great and they are fun to play. Keep 'em coming.
Is Prussia not ready? I was unable to find it in the Steam CiV Workshop
