Just going to put some early observations here, first impressions or what have you.
First game, pantheon didn't apply. Wiping all the ModUserData's and Cache's ensured it didn't happen when I tried a new game, so it was probably my fault.
Next game, I unlocked Mercs in 200 BC, and can hire an Archimedes' Workshop Ship of the Line for 9 gold upfront, 1 per turn. Every other contract is appropriately pricy, so I guess something went wrong here.
Specialist management behaves very oddly. It becomes impossible to open the categories, but when one is clicked the citizen management disappears and can not be recovered until the city screen is closed and reopened. Inability to open the District categories and bugged citizen assignments only occur in the capital, not any other city.
City (capital) is not upgraded to "the next level" when above the required amounts of improvements and considered a "metropolis". Is this the max, or are there other requirements I'm not aware of? The capital is a member of "the metropolis of Harar", which is my second city, 4 tiles away and smaller in population size. The other expand, 3 tiles away in the other direction, is the "metropolis of Adwa", which is the name of the city. A warning that a connection to the capital is required is shown also in the capital. Some strange UI issues at hand, only deviation from the installation instructions on my end is a DLC texture mod, which has previously interacted with no mods since its purely visual. Will remove and see if it changes things.
Follower belief buildings are not described in the selection window, which is a bit odd. Shouldn't be a concern once I learn and memorize what they all do, but for the first few games having to civilopedia them is a bit annoying.
Any specific why True Alternative Leaders wasn't bundled in?
