Hi there.

I enjoy my ipod and especially my shuffle functions. 80% of the songs on my ipod are one- ore two-offs from an album I own so I rarely ever bother with select > album.

But one thing is bothering me. The few classic music pieces I enjoy and want to carry around (Mozart´s Requiem to be precise) are divided into, say, 14 tracks. Is there a way - for dummies - to make these into one track?

thanks for the help.

1. Download and install Audacity 1.3.4 http://audacity.sourceforge.net
2. Download LAME encoder, extract the zip and put lame_enc.dll somewhere http://lame.buanzo.com.ar

3. Start Audacity. Import all mp3 files by selecting File > Import... > Audio...
4. Select the second track by double-clicking on it. You know the track is selected when it's highlighted and has yellow borders around it http://i27.tinypic.com/20af9f4.jpg
5. While it is selected press CTRL-C to copy it
6. Use the selection tool to select the end of the first track http://i26.tinypic.com/sdny3c.jpg
7. Press CTRL-V to paste the second track to the end of track 1. You can now close the second track http://i29.tinypic.com/8y9npx.jpg
8. Select the next track, copy it to the end of the first track, close it
9. Repeat step 8 until all tracks have been joined into one long track http://i30.tinypic.com/2ic47ls.jpg

10. File > Export. Tell Audacity where lame_enc.dll is located, edit mp3 options and click Save http://i32.tinypic.com/2l5ide.jpg

thank ye, I will try that tomorrow :)
