Jon Stewart and the Ruination of American Comedy

Not the reason though, since he wasn't a journalist back when he did either.

By the way, why have a stupid horse in a beer commercial? Is it meant to be a third world symbol of masculinity/power?

it always feels deeply uncomfy when the straights joke about this kinda stuff.

“we don’t need…” like who tf is “we” dude? you’re a straight cis man, stfu

Draft horses are beautiful creatures. Not many keep them anymore, but they're lovely for petting zoos, carriage rides, and some forms of animal therapy.

The horse is probably less stupid than the beer. :p And I dislike horses!

This just in, straight cis man doesn't stfu
Do you not understand the point Sophie was making, or is this a deliberate troll? If the former I am happy to explain it to you. Anything to help contribute to “Jon Stewart and the Death of American Comedy.” Please let me know. If the latter however, please disregard; and congratulations on your excellent taste. I think Seth MacFarlane and Matt and Trey Parker would be proud. Thanks, Crezth

Whi-i-i-l-burrrrrr.

After you all are finished with this thread please start an "Joe Rogan and the Ruination/Stupidification of Comedy". A youtube host I listen to on the regular once said, the worst thing to happen to comedy is comedians starting there own podcasts.

But is Rogan watched for his comedy?
A fair question: he purports himself to be a comedian and just recently came out with a special on Netflix. So yes sort of. Is he known for his comedy? Not really. I'd say his mostly know for, in no order, Fear Factor, News Radio, UFC commentating and his podcast. Also, he is highly influential in the comedy scene and can literally make or break someones career. There is a term called the Rogan effect for entertainers, others , comedians included, who appear on his podcast In my opinion some absolutely trash comics, Brendan Schaub, Bert Kreischer have benefited. And like many other things on his podcast he pushes concepts, ideas and narratives that are absolutely ludicrous. I have too much to say about though I should probably start another thread. :)
