Tell you what man: I will download the Celtitaly scenario next week...I am going to be honest with you...I was already looking at it as one of the scenarios I was thinking of reviewing. It's looks interesting and that's really saying something because I don't really get excited about many scenarios. I love to play what I think are "good ones" because I have probably played just about every 'early or Microprose created scenario' in existence. Only within the past year have I started to play the newer stuff because it is finally 'original' and detailed enough to catch my attention.

Man, I really am a civfanatic...I may need counseling. I have an addiction...I'm...a civfanatic...and I want everyone to know that I admit it!

The history of the turks begins in Central Asia in III century BC... it's a lot more ancient then you think.

To all

Thanks, i'll post it to you ASAP.

. Geographicly the turkic peoples cover a huge area, most of central asia (old soviet union east of the caspian sea), western china, asia minor, parts of the balkans. some of the barbarians that fought rome were turkic tribes; others of rome's enemies were pushed toward it by turks, the empire of Timur (tamberlane) was a mixed mongol/turkic outfit, the first turks to set up a kingdom is asia minor were the Seljuc turks, the ottomans followed them later, the Kirghiz are turkic as are the tatars (many of todays tartars are as much mongol as origianl tartar) the huns and mongols are related to turkic tribes but not ususally call turkic, the magyars were blened group but mostly turkic, turkic languages are spokens by almost as many pepople as Indo-European.

Right, Mutius Scaevola... BTW, this is the first original turkish tribe, the Turuk - "turk" came from here - and it means "The strong men". In the beginninings of the empire, this term indicated only the A-she-na family' supporters ( i.e. the royal Turuk family ), but thanks to chinese chronicles, it passed to all the tribes speaking a similar language...

. Well Promethius, you are pretty well travleled for a guy who spent most of his life chained to Mt Cacausus with a vulture chewing on his liver, but I hear you got around more after the Kevin Sorbo fellow set you loose. By the way thank you for that fire stuff, I have great fun barbequing disobediant slaves as well the the leaders of fallen cities.
. You seem to have some forward thinking, tell us what you think we will see in civ3.

No need to travel

: a lot of people passed around Mt Caucasus, and i learned to listen well... Under that mountain travelled Cimmerians, Scythians, Sarmatians, Alanic tribes, Huns, Ogundurs, Kutrigurs, Utigurs, Bulgarians, Chazars, Pecenegs, Polovci-Cumans, Mongols and Golden Horde Tatars, then Timur Lenk, and then Russians moving war to Persia... a full bunch of warriors fell in battle on the plains o' the north!

Currently, in Italy Civ3 isn't on stores yet... Not enough input to elaborate your request - bink - need more input - bink - waiting... ( Prom enters waiting mode )

Ave Promethius (glad to see that you prefer the Latin spelling of your Greek name)
. civ3 will not be released for some months, and we want the your foresight and pre-cognition, for which you are named, to tell us civ3's future form. I have consulted the oracle at Delphi and the Roman Sybel, but their crytic paltitudes are not very helpful, and the demigod FIRAXIS sayeth not. As for agreement among the potential consumers, "quot homines, tot sententiae".
