well i cant really help but as far as im aware because k-mod uses a .dll then it wont work at all on macs. theres also a possible conflict with different versions of python libraries.
i guess most people are unfamiliar with macs so you'll have to wait til karadoc or one of the other knowledgeable posters notices this thread to be sure though.
No mod that requires a custom DLL will work natively on a Mac. K-Mod is almost entirely a custom DLL.
To play it, you'd need to use the Windows version of Civ4 using one of the various methods to run such a thing on a Mac. There is a Mac specific forum, by the way.
It may be worth mentioning that I was playing Civ 4 on XP running under Parallels recently, and - once I'd turned off all the half-dozen things on the Mac that like to use 100% CPU for no reason [1] - was pleasantly surprised by how well it ran, certainly better than on my admittedly antiquated PC.
[1] What I don't understand is how each one of these makes a multi-core machine run like a drain all by itself! It's not like recent Macs are woefully short of memory bandwidth either.
