Kal-els 140x140 Earth Resources bic & bix

You have to change Spain's traits to Com/Rel (or whatever you like).
Oh yeah and Byzantines don't have a starting position

So send ottomans to where they realy came from.
Middle Asia-Stan areas. (near caspian sea).

You can neither change Spain starting location to, maybe barcelona? or their traits to the CIV3PTW ones.

Also I must say, in 180x180 and 140x140 Spain OR Portugal will have no chance of surviving. depands who's smarter :-\ It's a bit bad...

I have noticed something strange when I play this and many other great maps for C3C. There are times when I play maps updated for C3C from PTW that the computer places AI rivals in the wrong locations.

For example, on Kal-El's great maps, Spain is naturally on the Iberian Peninsula. Last night however, when starting a new game, the AI placed Korea in Spain's location, and put Spain in Korea's.

Has anyone else ever encountered this issue?

It's because sea-faring civs always start near water, even with pre made starts.

I see, I guess that makes sense. Looks like I will just change the rules so they are no longer seafaring i guess. Thanks for the help.

Wouldn't it be better to put the Ottomans in their modern-day capital(Ankara)? Then there would be space for both.

no becuase hitties are just near them if you do it... 3 countries in Turkey...

and oops you have C3C at all?? I tought you have PTW...

I have C3C...Just bought it 2 days ago...Anyway, I think you're right, Hattusas is too near Ankara for a 140x140 Earth. I think two things could be done: 1) Put the Ottomans and Byzantines either in a side of the Dardanelles, or 2) Move Hattusas or Ankara a little so they both fit in the map.

Just to add to everyone else, thanks Kal-el, its an awesome map. I don't know what the obsession with gigantic Earth maps is with some, frankly I'd like to see a lot more standard, and large size maps. In making Scenarios I've had massive pains with 180x180 maps and their loading times, the onyl way to make them work is to leave vast swaths of the map unihabited which is no fun. So many thanks again, this map is perfect for scenario building.

One last thought, if your continuing to make more Earth maps, how about a similar one but with an even bigger bias to Europe size-wise? If its too tricky then don't bother, but in this 140x140 one, basically every European country has room for about 2 cities, perhaps 3 at a push, if you could make one with 3 cities comfortably, 4 at a push for each major European country, that would be even more helpful (my suggestion would be shrinking Indonesia and shifting the Americas west a bit, and cutting down on Russia's frozen tundra north which in real life is fairly un-navigable anyway, and then making a bigger Europe shifted northwards a bit from its real position to make room). Just a thought, but it could be handy for playing more european-playable games.

Great map, thanks again.

Hey Kal-El, could you report the stats of this new c3c version like you did with the orriginal?
