Kernel32.dll error

hi all,

When I play the game, it suddenly crashes with the error : fault in kernel32.dll.

Does somebody have an awnser ?

I have SmAC , SMACAX and the latest patches, running on a win 98 se system, 256mb ram.

Does it work on windows 2000?

Ibelieve there may be a compatability patch at microsoft.com for smac-x, as well as many other games, I am do not know the exact url.

I've found an older patch for SmaC-x that was 2.3 MB bigger than the current patch. It had the same name. I am going to install that patch on my system and see what happens.

I also have some problems with the sound. Sometimes the speech is gone and after a few turns it returns. Strange ;(
