Kingdom Come: Deception (Game Thread)

Vote: rebel scum for perfect record.

This is not a legal vote. If you wish to change it, do so now, as it seems that the town is actually in agreement for a change.

Man, I hope the EoD report isn't "the townspeople laughed and joked through the afternoon and then the hangman came and lynched Marcher, who was innocent, and now they all look stupid."

Flavor text be like "a local villager volunteered to be hanged" and all town was just oh, ok.

But yeah, that would be a big oof

While not legal I am willing to credit Pzelda and Csargo as voting correctly if we are right...but will also blame them if we are wrong.

End of Day Four

MarcherJovian (6): Topsecret, GamezRule, Golden1Knight, Takhisis, MarcherJovian, Timsup2nothin
Golden1Knight (2): JohannaK, Pzelda

Abstaining (1): Csargo

The executioner could hardly believe his eyes when he arrived near sundown to find that not only had town convincingly decided who should be lynched, but that the nominated citizen was apparently part of that decision. "Suicide is against God's will," he muttered, crossing himself, but nonetheless he escorted the strapping fellow to the gallows and executed them then and there.

MarcherJovian has died!

Spoiler for identity :
He was Runt, the Bandit. He was a Rebel!

Twilight will now continue until 11 pm and then the nightly curfew will come into effect. Daybreak will be at 10 pm BST on Thurs, 30th April.

Runt the Bandit isn't someone I'd invite to book club.

Ermmmm...Jo...you still thinking my honest mistake was pis?

You can't really credit me and I find today's voting not to be the best tool for solving the game. I think that taking a look at Jovian's voting record and the previous day is more important here.

Here's some next level wolf play:

I can read, and when I got the note I faked like I couldn't and set up my henchman to eventually take the fall as the "literate rebel."

I can still respect you for being right.

Yeah, but unless some serious bussing, this narrows it down nicely. I need to check but i think that GK is in clear and we don't have evidence for him being a serious busser. So, he's just town and probably very dead.
Gamez basically lock town too as he was the one to bring attention to Jovian.
Csargo and Jo to a lesser degree as they both voted Jovian yesterday but brought up other candidates today (tim, gk)

You don't make it less of an option by pointing it out yourself. I think I came up with this theory before.

Tbh, POE's short now. Tak, TS, Tim and some could consider me.

Everything points to MJ just not being literate

Or he was forced to deny receiving letters for some other reason.

I'm especially interested to know who was voting for Argon yesterday. I just got home an hour ago and although I wanted to post to the thread earlier I had more important irl matters to attend to. My persons of interests (not necessarily suspects yet but almost):

Tim: You speak loudly and carry a big stick. You came out today attempting to get a counter wagon going against MJ despite seeming to be against them yesterday.
Topsecret: You may claim your power is for good, but so far it's only been used to lynch the town.
JohannaK: I can't put my finger on it, although I probably could if I read the thread again, but you seem well distanced from MJ.

Also, @Golden1Knight if you don't die tonight I'm going to look at you much more closely tomorrow.

@Csargo I'm sure you are the doctor but I can't remember reading anywhere in the thread that said that. I just know eventually everybody kept saying you were the doctor.

@pzelda why do you want a letter?

I have to agree. 'The Bandit' likely is not literate.

The next step needs to be carefully considered.

C'mon man, give me a little credit. I'm not gonna OMGUS and play "lynch you right back," but there is no case there.

Most likely, he assumed that the letters had some type of clue about the identity of the mafia or the town, and he wanted to get ahold of one of them to confirm it.

And this is a really strange post, because I'm not sure what Tim is saying here. It's such easy bait to lynch him that I don't even want to take it, but it would confirm the above theory. Now that we know MJ is mafia, if Tim can read then the entire Mafia would be tricked into thinking that the letters did contain that sort of the information because, well, the first one did. It confirmed the identity of the only person I know for sure, me. However, at that time the letter writer was anonymous. Claiming literate would increase the odds of receiving a future letter, which could be passed off to a literate mafia.

But clearly, this is inconceivable, so we cannot drink this wine.

Topsecret: You may claim your power is for good, but so far it's only been used to lynch the town.
Well I could have used it to lynch Marcher yesterday but I failed to be decisive. Your point?
I've called out people to vote and I am innocent.

Anyway I switched off of MJ yesterday because we wanted a tie. I'm still upset I didn't pull out the hammer and nail the coffin. :wallbash:

Here's the tally:
End of Day Three

LordArgon (4): Takhisis, Samson, Pzelda, Timsup2nothin
MarcherJovian (4): Golden1Knight, JohannaK, GamezRule, LordArgon
Golden1Knight
(1): Topsecret
Timsup2nothin
(1): Csargo

Abstaining (1): MarcherJovian
I agree that for me, Tim, Tak, and Jo, the list is pretty easy. There's only a few options left: (Topsecret, Tak, Tim, G1K; Maybe Zelda or Jo). Two people on that list are probably the wolves.

We need to look at the rest of the votes.

Outside of the tiny fragment in the N1 write-up there is none. You'll have to judge my play this game and decide whether you want to believe it or not.

Tak, Tim, and G1K are my main three. Not sure the order, and one (at least) is innocent (otherwise LYLO).

I urge you to remember...in my limited career I lynch whoever I want...and when I am town I am usually wrong. The fact that I was wrong voting consistently fits a pattern there, and when I flip town you will be glad I avoided becoming the shotcaller.
