LAN Suggestions

    Hi all,


    I am putting together a Civ VI LAN for a group of 8 people, and am wondering what you all would suggest for multiplayer settings.


    Here are a few things that I am looking for your experienced input on:

    Is De-Syncing a major issue? Any suggestions on how to reduce occurrences?

    Recommended map type/size?

    I intend for this to mostly be an FFA with some limitations, but should I include some AI for some speed bumps or allies?

    Game speed – we intend to make a full day of this, so probably around 10-12 hours of game time (assuming the desync issue does not occur). What game speed would you recommend for this assuming we wanted to actually complete the game?

    Recommendations on turn timers? Should I set one and for how long? Note that most of these players have played prior Civilization games, but are relatively new to Civ VI

    Any other In-game rules or house rules that you recommend?
