One leader is named Ashoka, Word Renouncer

Other are just Augustus, Hatchepsut,...

Why doesn't Ashoka has a special title in his name
And more importantly, why others don't?
It sound cool

Also if you have title ideas for confirmed leaders what would it be?

Edit: actually I wonder, as there is Napoleon and Revolutionary Napoleon, maybe there is Ashoka World renouncer, and Ashoka World conqueror? That would make more sense

Yeah, this probably means Ashoka will have multiple personas.
Good point. The other could well be Ashoka, World Destroyer from his more warlike pre-Buddhist days...

Now, that gives me a glimpse of hope we could see Nezahualcoyotl as leader this time, as he has this similar dual fame, on the one side, enlightened poet king, on the other, vindictive military leader...so yeah.

This is a cool find and thought.

I would’ve never predicted Amina to be a leader that would get a persona though.

From the evidence we have so far, it looks like only Napoleon and Ashoka will be getting multiple personas. Firaxis announced two personas for Napoleon, and Ashoka has the text "World Renouncer" next to him. We're not talking about th text at the top "Dhammaraja", which seems to just be a short description of the leader, and every leader appears to have that.

Without seeing at least one alternative, we have both possibilities:
a) they are titles
b) they are the names of the personas
option c is that it’s both: every leader has titles, but personas will have different titles from each otjer

And option d: These are the names of leaders' agendas.

ahhh i see what you’re referring to now, and how it’s different than what the rest of us are talking about—yeah, that would appear to be related to personas

the titles go above the names, and the persona signifiers are in the name title

Ashoka is a very fitting one: pre-Kalinga and post-Kalinga. Though I don’t think he’d have liked still being known for his pre-Kalinga self

An aside, but I was reading this analysis of the pillars and the artifacts related to the Kalinga campaign that suggested Ashoka’s “apology” was really a thinly-veiled threat. Very interesting stuff.

Not anymore, Chief. Not anymore. (No agendas)
If only.

No, the Civ Guide says leaders have agendas

Lol, not only are they bringing in the most divisive aspect of Humankind, they've kept the most complained about aspect of Civ 6?

At least they've certainly got confidence in the directions they've chosen.
