Leaked US memo proves US lied about 50 stories from Iraq - the US Propaganda Machine

The leaked memo was faked. :neener:

My two coppers: I spent the last 13 years demanding that Saddam be deposed. Didn't take any propaganda at all to convince me.

neener??

:D

its your country thats going at the wrong direction, not mine

what happened to the last country that had a minister of propaganda?

riiiight, enjoy!

I happen to like the direction my country is moving in. We just kicked a couple of asses that really, really needed kicking, the economy is in good shape, and CFC Off Topic is just as thought-provoking and entertaining as when I discovered it so long ago. :)

The deal about the U.S. getting bamboozled by propaganda and turning into a police state? Old news. I don't mean last week's news, or last month's, or last year's. Longer than that. The party that doesn't control the White House is always making such accusations. We've been like that as long as the United States has been on the map.

Maybe its a valid point..... I have to think on that....maybe true.... :mischief:

Here's an idea for some fun, G: take a look at political cartoons penned in the U.S. a century ago. If you think politics is incendiary today--back then, it was VICIOUS. :)

You know, its amazing, but I believe that the Bush Administration is fuller of lies and dirty tricks than was the Nixon Administration.

I'm not surprised, but I guess I'm still amazed, if that makes sense. I'll also, I'm sure, be amazed when the right wing finds ways to defend these kinds of actions. The end justifies the means, blah, blah, blah.... The world is better off and I wanted Saddam out anyway, etc...

This should be the big story for the next few weeks, but we'll still be hearing about the missing girl in Aruba.

Well, I agree the end never justifies the means, but I don't think Bush lied and the world is a better place without Saddam.

I'm personnally amazed at how many people care only about themselves. All I've heard from many was...
Iraq...not my problem
Somolia...not my problem
Rwanda...not my problem
Bosnia...not my problem
Kosovo...not my problem
East Timor...not my problem
yada,yada,yada

I noticed while skimming over the article that WMDs were rarely mentioned. It seemed to me that people loved to bash bush because WMDs was his main argument for invading iraq.

Mabie the libs finally realised Clinton used the WMD excuse when he bombed Baghdad

Ask the same person about P.W. Botha and they'd (if they know who he is) be ready to fight on the front lines, no questions asked.
