he puts up good numbers every game.

take it that you haven't watched his last two games:rolleyes:

i've seen them the one the other night was like 3or4 points within each other but they still lost

He puts up good numbers?

For carrying a team, isn't SEVEN a bad thing? And they lost by 4(?).

the consensus among nba "experts" is that he is not fast enough to blow by on the dibble and lacks an outside shoot. what does this mean? defenses will sag on him as the season goes on and force him to shot the jumper. the answer? like grant hill and kobe ( to name a few who had the same problem early in their career ) he will spend the summer shooting 500 jumpers a day, everyday to improve it and be a more complete player the next year, if not, he will be another high school draftee with high " upside" who failed. since the nba has invested so much in him you know they will be on him 24/7 to work on his faults.

Of course they will. Not only because he's collecting, but to boost the fanbase. The NBA is desperate to find another Jordan or Bird.

u also got carmello anthony as a up an coming player

Lebron James is only posting (occasionally good) numbers because he skipped college. The veterans don't really know how to truly defend him yet because he doesn't play like the rookies they're used to, as he's lacking in fundamentals.

Give the a month or two to amass tape, and they'll figure out how to shut him down.

This is why I hate Kobe Bryant. While his skipping college seemed to have worked out for his career, it legitimizes drafting from high schools. This deteriorates the quality of both collegiate and professional basketball...

his stats ( shooting %) isn't any better, labron is not alone in this young players being very fundementally unsound. most of them can't dribble with either hand--something i had to learn in 5th grade ( back in the day) why? because they can run faster, jump higher, ect... and get away with it

well we'll see who develops more fundamentals eventuly so yea they r about the same NOW:)

Ok, Lebron can have bad games. But let us not forget that this guy is a 18 year old rookie! Yess, his shouting arsenal could be a lot better, but that's normal for a rookie to strugle. I haven't seen one that put out the lights immediatly, let alone one that didn't go to college. You can say what you want, but his all around numbers show that he will become a star in this league in 1,2,3 years. (just look at his assists, rebounds numbers + he's only 18!!)

Ok, Cleveland is losing all it's games, but have you looked at the roster? It's not as if they where going to the playoffs with this team. Give the guy some break, he has been the best performing player at his age ever so far. Can't say he's doing a bad job...

as i said, IF he works on his game in the off season he will improve each year and in 1-3 will be what they are calling him now. remember, even in this thread ( or the nba thread) someone was comparing him to oscar robertson already, all most of us are saying is he isn't special--yet.

Sheesh.

Are we really on their backs? Or are we really just doing battle with the hype machines that are also forgetting their just rookies?

hey, when you get 90 million for a shoe deal before your 1st shot in a game, you have to produce

When this kid matures, he's going to be a perennial all-star and MVP. Sure he needs to continue to work on his game, all professional athletes do. The kid has a special talent that is rarely seen. Give him time and you'll see good things from him and his teams. After all, it took Jordan SEVEN years to win his first pro title.

He isn't expected to win the title in his fist year. He is expected to play good basketball, with a decent jump shot....
