Hello!
I've just released this mod to display the policy yield preview in the Government Screen.
Better Report Screen was one of my most beloved mod in Civ6, so I made a new one here!

I've had to dig down Civ7 modifiers and all the database stuff, so I expect bugs/miscalculations/etc., but the code is solid and I think it could be helpful.

Please let me know here or in GitHub issues if you've found some miscalculations.

Note: there will be some some cards that do not include a yield preview. These are either policies with effects that don't affect yields (ex: combat bonuses), or where yield impact is indirect (ex: +% production towards specific things).

v0.4.0 - Fix for building type policy cards, new effects

  • Fix policy cards which grant global yield based on buildings type (e.g. Tzolk'in from Maya)
  • Fix policy cards which grant city yield based on buildings type (e.g. Devakoshta from Chola)
  • Fix policy cards which check adjacency to coast (e.g. Aksum traditions)
  • Add support for happiness surplus effects (e.g. Shreni)
  • Add support for population based city yield (e.g. Quipu from Inca)

v0.5.0 - Fix to blank screen, adjacency and towns check

  • Fix policy cards which check adjacency to districts (e.g. City of Peace)
  • Fix policy cards which applies to number fo towns (e.g. Compendium Book)
  • Fix policy cards which check quarters not detecting full tile buildings (e.g. Railroad)
  • Fix a bug which made the policies screen blank when the player had zero global yield

Praise be, it’s back in Civ 7 :bowdown:

One piece of feedback/observation: I’ve noticed after installing this mod that the policies became less responsive when trying to slot them in and out. I think what’s happening is that the area showing the yields is not clickable/interactive. You need to click on any other part of the card for it to respond.

Minor in the grand scheme of things, but did cause some confusion when playing.

Thank you very much for making me notice it. I had some debug utility logs on click, so I was intercepting the events; will fix in next release
 
Meanwhile I'd like to share a new option coming in the next release: colorful yields!
I've added an option in the "Game" settings tab where you can enable the coloring. By default yields will stay black as in latest release

If anyone is using the Linux native version of Civ7, extract the .zip file to:
/home/YOUR-USERNAME/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Sid Meier's Civilization VII/DLC/

and it will work.

With the caveats that this was on a loaded save from before the patch (and MP so I don't have a save file) and not having had the mod installed before the patch, the yields for Patronage and Uposatha here are clearly wrong as Augustus of Spain in the Exploration Age, displaying +98 to culture/happiness respectively when the actual change was +7 and +13.

(The listed +158 gold from being +224 in practice is almost certainly from the ongoing Plutocracy celebration.)

I did a basic test on the new 1.1.0 patch and it seems to be working fine!
Let me know if you find some new quirk

First off, thank you so much for making this mod. It's SO helpful. I think I found a bug. I'm playing a save that I began before the 1.1.0 patch. The Colonial Surplus policy card seems to be drastically off. I'm attaching a screenshot and the save file, let me know if you need more information.

Edit: Just to be clear, it's ok even if it's a MP save with another player, if you have it.
