Let’s assume The Hilary is president. Who will be the Vice President?

Many are saying Obama, but he doesn't strike me as the Vice-Presidential type. I'd imagine Bill Richardson, Edwards, or someone like Bayh.

We could try a process of elimination? Who won't be her VC?

I doubt if she would choose Edwards, Gravel or Kucinich.

She may decide go with Obama, Dodd, Biden or some lesser known Democrat. Ex-Govenors and Senators often make good running mates.

Sam Nunn would at least maybe make a Hillary presidency tolerable. No, not even tolerable, but I wouldn't be as mortified I guess.

No. He's ineligible; it came up in another thread. Those not allowed to run as President are also not allowed to run as Vice President.

Not to mention the fact that they both live in New York, making him ineligible for that reason as well.

I'm not sure that's legally true, unless some court has settled the issue. That said, it won't be Bill. :)

I'd put my money on Obama or Richardson.

Well, actually, he represented Wyoming in the House of Representatives:lol:
Not at the time he was running for VP. He was the CEO of Halliburton and lived and worked in Texas.

As for the Constitution, the clause I have read can be intrepeted that a 25 year couldn't run as Vice President when it refers to "ineligible to be President". The amendment preventing Bill Clinton from running again states that it prevents a two termer from being elected President. It is silent on whether he is ineligible to serve as President if he got there other than by election. Scalia and Thomas, if they were being intellectually honest about strict constructionalism, would likely conclude that someone such as Bill Clinton or George W. Bush could run as a VP candidate.

Jolly, my brother lived and worked in Iraq recently for over a year. Are you suggesting he was no longer a legal resident of the State of Missouri?

Cheney owned homes in Wyoming and Texas and moved his legal residence back to Wyoming before he became Bush's running mate. This was all well covered back in 2000. It's not like he's a Wyoming carpetbagger.

And Bill Clinton could do the same thing in regards to Arkansas. Not a hard trick to pull off as Cheney proved.
