Hello my fellow members of our esteemed parliment!

As our game begins, I want to get a chance to get our general agenda out there, so you can figure what to expect from me and the CSP this term. I also want to talk about some serious gameplay issues, and what we can do to fix them.

What do we plan to do? Our budget overview is just about finished, and we should be ready to make it public in the next day or two (I'm just about finished with my move, which will allow me to work on this more). For this term, we want to:

* Establish our military
* set up the basic infastrucutre for our country...its government departments, some basic programs, etc. We'll take care of some of the dirty work, so other terms will go by a little easier
* a comprehensive education bill that will establish our schools as world class
* bills to begin to address how we'll deal with health care

However, we have some serious gameplay issues I want to talk about.

First, voting. I dont know about the rest of you guys, but this current process...where we have a guy post a half-assed bill that gets revised every 4 posts, and then everybody endorcing, un-endorcing, changing their votes...its unrealisitc, unprofessional, and really hard to keep track of. Plus, bill plagerisim might become an issue.

I implore you all, THINK BEFORE YOU MAKE A BILL. talk about it with your other party members...do some research..try to think of exceptions, and then write how you'll fix them. The better the intial quality of the legislation, the better our game will go.

Also, I implore you, if you dont know how you';re going to vote, dont vote yet. Wait until after you've read more arguements. Dont go ABSTAIN...YEA...NAY...YEA...ABSTAIN. im having trouble following the development of bills with all of this.

Finally, if you know some conservatives, invite them to play. The issue I am most worried about is competitive ballance. A lot of CPers quit, and thats really what sunk model parliment the last time. If at first you dont sucseed, quitting the game isnt the issue.

Finally, im getting word that some people dont have a whole lot of confidence in our GMs. If this situation is not resolved soon, I plan on taking action

Thanks everybody. lets have a good term

regards

i agree with you on both the voting procedures, better bill quality, and the conservatives, if there are none then there wont be any competition

I stood up 57 times and clapped during the reading of this message.

I agree fully with all of it.

I agree with all points. With GMs, how do you define soon? The game is really struggling right now, so another week won't do.

Good speech! :) And i agree totally with it!

Very good speech Prime Minister! :worship:

As for the GMs, there's a thread for it. Personally, I think that PMship and GMs have little to do with each other. All MPs (including Ministers, the PM and SCs etc.) should vote equally for new GMs (or simply vote for the current gms if they don't want any change).

Perhaps we should send a PM to all registered MPs to see if they are interested in continuing?

Otherwise I agree with all points!

I think we need to repackage this game, and resell it, since the MPs would not come back with no GMs in place.

We are currently in the process of getting new gms. We shouldn't pm all mps, it would be too much work and it would just show them the following: 'Oh the game is dead, and they're trying to revive it. I don't want that/'

Guess what? The game isn't dead! We still have plenty of members, and especially with new GMs coming up.

I think we should leave it at that for now.

Yes, let them come to us, not the other way around.
