I'll be posting a game in hope of getting some help to improve my game :)

I'll post in intervals of 15-20* turns excluding the first turn.

I may or may not have some bad habits (Auto workers  ) that I'm hoping to fix.

My plan for this game will be to win through conquest or domination because I've been mostly peaceful in my other games.

Here are the settings

I think I am inclined to agree with the adviser and settle on the blue circle... Just kidding. Settling in place looks good to me. What do you guys think?

Warrior moves 1SW. If nothing notable is spotted, SIP (most likely result). There's a slim chance what the warrior discovers will make moving 1S or even 1S1E onto the blue circle (which is plains-hill, so it's a 2-hammer city tile) a better choice. But you'd have to find something very surprising to justify what you know either of those moves would give up.

Early priority techs agriculture, fishing, bronze working (probably in that order?).

Why not move your warrior 1e and see if there is anything there? And then settle in place with your two food resources and flood plains if there isn't?

After moving the warrior I've decided to SIP because I wouldn't gain much from moving

Looks like a good cottage city to me. :)

Teched Agi -> Pottery -> Fishing

Started up with a fast worker into a warrior to let it grow 2 pop then into a settler.

It's now turn 40 and I have to decide where to settle

Spoiler :
Here is my land

I also haven't met anyone so I could be isolated. Which is good because hopefully I can get some help on isolation because I am pretty bad at it

Now I have a few questions.

1. How many cities should I be aiming for by say turn 100? (Should I REX or build up my first couple cities then expand slowly)
2. Where should I place said cities?
3. How many workers would I need to improve those cities?
4. Where should I place my warriors and how many would I need to spawn bust them?
5. What techs should I be prioritising if isolated?

Thanks.

Any ideas?

yeah move first warrior for scouting move (1SW) so we can see if settling on the PH 1SE is worthwhile before making decisions you can't take back.

and definitely wait for more feedback before playing!

when I first saw the starting screenshot my initial thoughts were "settle on the PH 1SE", you lose 1 flood plain, what we get is a bit unsure, thus the warrior move 1SW to confirm the move.

you get 3 turns sooner worker for 1 turn settling dealy, being 2 turns ahead overall.

You lose the clams and 5 fogged land tiles if you move to the plains-hill; while it certainly could be worthwhile, I was inclined to think it wouldn't be worthwhile unless the warrior spotted something to the south.

As far as wait... yes, wait in the future. Try to wait at least half a day between turnsets. But in this case, there was no reason to wait through a lengthy and mostly-pointless debate on whether SIP is worthwhile... it's just not that big a deal for someone at his level.

None of the cities sites look great. SE of clams is ok.

I'll post in intervals of 50 turns excluding the first turn.

I advise against this. 50 turns is too big of a margin between updates that we won't be able to advise you effectively. I'd say keep it to 15-20 turns max, especially because you have a habit of automating workers and probably need more focus and guidance with worker micromanagement.

By turn 100 you'd probably want 3-5 cities. You really want at least 6 cities by 1 AD, ideally somewhere around 8 or 9 if possible. As for your current settling situation, that blue circle seems to be the best place to found your second city. You usually want 1.5 workers per city; with Fast Workers, you may be able to get away with 1 per city. Still, you should stop that work boat and go warrior->worker or finish the work boat and build a worker after. You have a few good coastal sites, so going for the Great Lighthouse may be a possibility. With nowhere to expand into but jungle, I recommend self-teching Iron Working and settling for the gems.

The rule for spawn busting is that barb units can't spawn within 2 tiles of any unit and barb cities can't spawn within 1 tile of any unit. Judging by your land, you would only need 2-3 spawn busting warriors unless you really want to push outward. Priority techs remain about the same: worker techs, economic techs (Currency, Monarchy, Code of Laws, Civil Service a bit later), and wonder techs if you think you have a reasonable shot at a wonder, although it doesn't look like you have any marble or stone to settle for.

Thanks alot. You've managed to answer all my questions :)

I'll make sure to post every 15-20 as you advise from now on.

I defiantly agree with building the great light house, there seem to be a lot of coastal cities available to me.
However, I'm not sure settling on the blue circle is the best play right now. I almost always try to get good tiles I can improve right away in the initial of my first 1-2 cities.
But then again, there really isn't much choice in terms of other sites to settle.

Also, what should I do with the flood plains? I cottage them always. No exceptions. Is that the correct way to use them?

And lastly, should I cottage my second cities grass land tiles? Or should I leave them and wait for civil to spread irrigation to them so I can work some mines + workshops and make it a production city.

3N of Delhi looks like a nice 2nd city spot, on grashill west for the fishes maybe for next city.
They both can grow cottages for Delhi, and cos there are no other great spots for now your best option.

Well, I took IW and went double gem site as my 2nd city.
Why?
Spoiler :
Was nothing else really appealing and by that turn I had met some of my neighbours and one of them is pretty annoying.
