 I did have to do one tricky chop.

Edirne, is shown here about to max overflow an IntelAgency (side note: of all the buildings I cut like universities and Oxford, who would have thought I'd have a use for IntelAgency)
Anyway, I need those two 3rd ring forests for my Engine, but Thebes clearly will get the lumber from the chops. The solution is often the solution to many problems in Civ. Gift the city. Thebes' 2nd ring forest can be chopped immediately for Edirne. For the 1st ring, you have to wait til next turn when your culture overtakes that tile again.

I added the missing Hot tip to the report. I didn't want to stop my momentum playing to post a screen, etc. You can see the image better if you go to the report.

Why are both intermediate saves submitted to HoF from the same turn?

Looking at the final save, all I can say is this is insane! :wow: :dubious:  It looks like a settler level game. You arrived at Alpha Centauri and several AI are still in the Classical era, missing techs like Currency, Calendar and Construction.

"They can't send you the bill for the spaceship if you haven't invented currency yet"

Now STRIKE economy makes sense

Remember, most of the AI in the game are clones (colonies) of an AI that I stone-aged early in the game. They start with the techs that the beaten-down AI had, and they get a size 1 iceball city.

Congrats WastinTime, I followed from the start and its been a highlight of my life. This thread has inspired me to strive for greater things by showing me how much is really possible with proper application. (And I don't mean in CIV, I hardly play it anymore, I mean in life in general)

Wow, thx for that. That's got to be the greatest compliment I'm going to get for my efforts. Makes me want to do it all over again!

So, did you say yes or no to the "just one more turn" question? :D
Well I assume this question is for me. Bad news is that my old laptop can't run Civ4 anymore. Good news is, I've prepared for the Return of the Game by ordering a 2nd-hand machine on eBay back from February already! Yet another bad news: it hasn't arrived  Without a tracking number provided, I'm having a worry that I've spent my savings money on a con job :(

eBay will always support the buyer. You should get your case opened before the 45 day mark tho.

Wow, WT, :goodjob:; this was probably the last thread I followed on CivFanatics, so I am kinda sad you finished this :D . You are the greatest player of this game in my book. It was a pleasure and fun following your endeavor. Many thanks for hours of fun.
