The new banner is excellent.
CivFanatix stepped into the 21st century and left that old school nonsense behind. Civ3 is the new sun on the horizon, and its eclipsed the past forever.

Yeah, the greenish to reddish glow reminded me too much of Alpha Centauri's art direction.

It's not permanent as far as I know. There is some experimentation in progress, or so goes the rumour
