    I haven't coded the UU for the Songhai yet.
    I was trying to locate a name for the unit before creating it.

    I have been pretty much out of the loop the last couple days - I am working in southern USA which got killed with a severe ice storm. No power the last 2 days :(

    OK, so it isn't a bug. Great! I guesws I will hit number two on the list then and start the USA test.

    BTW, I played the ISC test with accelerated production turned on. It pretty much blows a hole in the game. Every tech is only 4 turns. It was interesting to be building the pyramids while researching Military Tradition. To have researched Chivalry by the time you can get iron hooked up (and it was close). Buying Middle Age Tech for 10g. Bet I could win QS1 with it!

    The techs every 4 turns is a result of science factor of ten - versus then the normal of > 500. The higher that factor, the slower the technology pace. There is a reason that I stress Science Cheated testing. I wanted the test to move at a very fast pace. The real game will go back to the standard factor.

    This "cheat" saves hours to get to the test zone quickly. If you trade well with counter-AI research, it will go even faster.

    Ok, it is time to begin the testing.
    I am still trying to find a name of the Songhai Knight.
    I am still trying to find another leader - One possible is Sulaiman-Mar, but I could only find his name mentioned once anywhere :(
    I am trying to find any idea for the Argentina UU.

    This is still more to do, and more tests to run before the next world map game.
    I will not start the game until these test are done - wm games take a hugh time commitment, as I don't want to waste a ton of time for a crashed game

    I am still working on issues including that I want to spend my time to add Argentina to balance Brazil as part of this game, and I could use some testing help. These will be a science cheated test. Expect a *VERY* fast tech game.

    1) Songhai ICS test. Pack cities two squares away, and simply verify a wrap back to Gao.
    Compete - passed


    2) USA test. With the loss of Jersey Joe, we never finished the testing of the USA changes.
    Play the USA, probably with just the American continent civs to be quick.
    Get to the point of marines - attack and verify a GA.
    Stop after building your first regular jet fighter.
    >>> This time America should be around awhile, so the USMC may appear.

    Play unit 1 Anzac is built.

    Lee, one thing I noticed with the Songhai, the closest horses were up at the Med and over by the Red Sea. With their UU horse dependant, I didn't know if that was done purposefully.

    When the resources are randomize, who knows what will happen. I didn't bother fixing the Songhai area, as I knew resource randomizing was coming up.

    Play as Egypt - first warrior should explore toward west Africa to find them in time for it to be the ancient age. Quit after first contact in modern age.

    The peace and prosperity of Askia Dawud's reign (1549–82) ...
    Not a major military leader, but pickings are slim for known Songhai people.
    He was at least significant for the Songhai.

    I just found out when you add a new civ - it gets ALL units.
    Argentina has EVERY UU for every civ!

    I will be downloading a new version shortly.

    Your AMERICA test is ***INVALID*** - I found the Jet Fighter was NOT setup correctly for America - please restart after new version is posted.


    This is exactly why I like to test ahead of time!

    Placed a horse into America.


    V1 - Took a copy of Marla Singer's Map, and cut back on coast squares that are out of reach for the sake of domination. Removed several Ice only islands.

    I just spent 1+ hours, and there is no easy way to find the Songhai word for horses or cavalry.

    For know, the UU shall simply be "Dyina" (Army).
    Not a great choice, but I don't know anyone who speaks Songhai.

    If anyone has an idea where to find this, I would appreciate it :)

    Is this for PTW? Because if it is, there's a bug that would allow you to verify that the city name wraps back to buenos aries by ordering a settler to build a city and then canceling the order and repeating. For example, if you are the ottomans and order a settler to build Istanbul, but then cancel the order and tell it to build it again, it will skip Istanbul and go to Edrine.

    OK, will restart the Americans with 9C. It may be after this weekend before I can finish the test. Camping in December....thank God, I live in Texas. Of course, my son wants to earn his Polar Bear badge (for camping with temps at or below freezing).
