LK132 - BTS, monarch, Bablyon

Does that mean i play 25 turns?

NO
If the round is peaceful, play a total of 15 turns.
If the round includes war, then play a total of 10 turns.

The less turns during war is to account for how much longer the game techs during war.

I read in latest ALC thread that single cities on islands do not count as colonies and do not generate additional maintenance.
We could put a city just north of iron 4W of Akkad. We'd immediately run into close borders with Hats but it snags the iron and has riverside tiles for farms/cottages as required.

Unfortunately, I don't think we'd control that iron for very long. Not only is Hatty creative, but she loves cultural buildings too. I think we should just settle the island. There's bound to be some seafood up there.

I agree that if island has food its the best choice. If we went south we'd probably be looking at war with Hats not very long after.

lurker's comment:

Is that city on a separated landmass on it's own ? If so, you may not be able to connect that Iron to the rest of your cities until Astronomy...

Imhotep

No, it's fine. It's the same continental shelf, just that the sea level is high enough to create a channel between it and the mainland. Will be connected by cultural borders and hence will be able to connect the iron to the empire if we settle on the same island as it.

Hang on guys, the report would be here, i was half way done, but my computer crashed, so expect to have it soon.

Questioning the presence of cottages on floodplains? High commerce on an already higher-than-normal food tile is a god-given gift!
Turn 4:
4tf5ik9

I think that 13G would have been worth the permanent effect.

OK, Hatty has the pyramids. I guess we'll just have to take it from her. Let's settle that iron island asap and go for construction.

From the screenshot it doesn't look like we have any chariots yet despite boudicca having 3 axes in Gergovia.

That +1 commerce to the library would have payed for itself in about 13 turns.

... not mentioning the library...

Hatty just put her head on the chopping block, imo.

It looks like the settler is ready in 2, with a bow next turn... very good. Do we have any spare workers to send over? 2 would be good, considering the importance of the resource.

ok that library was one of my many :smoke: moves....

at the end getting that much money from pyramids was nice.

I never knew that, well good to know! and yes i didn't see those pigs there either...

Oh the save...

New Updates
The question I have is why a lighthouse in Dur-Kurigalzu when it is working NO ocean tiles. A granary or barrack would have been much for valuable. My only guess is trying for the Great Lighthouse, but my gut feeling says we are to late to get it.

I just had a look at your save: the Pyramids were built by Pericles, who also immediately adopted Representation.
