The first build, as always, is worker houses.

The first science project is warrior code. The Koreans already have spears and walls, but no offensive potential.

3200 BC (16)
(IT) Arabia starts a GA.

3150 BC (17)
(IT) That was weird. I saw a scout run by, but I didn’t make contact.

3100 BC (18)
This time I make contact. I declare war on Nubia.

3000 BC (20)
The first clan has arrived. I have scouted enough to know 1 decent spot. It will go there.

2700 BC (26)
P'yongyang is founded. Walls are ordered up. I am surprised to find a Nubian warrior south of the city.
(IT) Maghreb has started a GA.

2620 BC (28)
I found border to the north. The odds are they are Nubian.
(IT) I am happy to see a Nubian transport ship. That is some shields that can’t attack us.

2540 BC (30)
Despite being at war, I just saw Nubia send out a settler without an escort.

2500 BC (31)
(IT) The warrior by Nubian borders was killed. :(

2460 BC (32)
(IT) The next research project is iron working. I want to know if any is nearby. The last game iron was a killer resource for us. I know we have elephants.

2380 BC (34)
I have to cancel a road building project by P'yongyang. I don’t want to gamble on 2 warriors versus 1 spear and lost the worker stack.
(IT) Nubia lost 2 warriors. (2-1)

2300 BC (36)
Nubia lost another warrior attacking P'yongyang. (3-1)
Silly AI, warrior versus spear behind walls tends to go badly.

2260 BC (37)
Nubia lost another warrior attacking P'yongyang. (4-1)

2140 BC (40)
The war expands to two civs with Maghreb appearing. That means a GA fueled civ may eventually send a stack our way.
(IT) Slaver’s hut is completed. It is back to building troops.

1940 BC (46)
(IT) Nubia lost another warrior attacking P'yongyang. (4-1)

1900 BC (47)
Wonsan is founded. It will eventually get some food with pigs. The city gives us a base closer to Nubia.
(IT) Nubia lost another warrior attacking P'yongyang. (5-1)

1860 BC (48)
The first archer arrives. It barely kills the warrior, but it is promoted to vet. (6-1)

1740 BC (50)
(IT) Maghreb completes the Colossus.
An enslaver kills a spear. I am really glad I had the warrior in that stack, or we would have lost multiple workers.

1700 BC (51)
I kill what is probably a Nubian enslaver. (7-1)
Our first enslaver is a wimp, and retreats from a warrior.
(IT) Greece has started a GA.

1660 BC (52)
(IT) The next research project is the wheel. I would like to know where the horses are.
South Africa completes Stonehenge.

1620 BC (53)
I see no visible iron. :(
I kill a Nubian warrior by P'yongyang. (8-1)
The AI loves that city for some reason. The Nubia troops bypassed Wonsan to continue on to that city.
(IT) Nubia lost another warrior attacking P'yongyang. (9-1)
Early GoJoseon Spearman arrives.
Arabia completes the Pyramids. I hope Arabia is FAR away from us. That is a killer wonder with a free settler, happy face in all cities, better chance for leaders, and never goes obsolete.
Britain completes the Mausoleum of Mausollos.

1580 BC (54)
The leader will wait until the archer is done in P'yongyang.
(IT) Italy has started a GA.

1540 BC (55)
I kill a Nubian warrior. (10-1)

1500 BC (56)
The enslaver is defective. It again retreats from a warrior doing no damage. :(
(IT) An enslaver attacks the Maghreb warrior. Is a third civ arriving soon?

1460 BC (57)
Slavery is rushed in P'yongyang.

1380 BC (59)
The enslaver tries for a third time. It finally kills a warrior. (11-1)
(IT) An enslaver attacked near Seoul. The spear barely survives. (12-1)

1380 BC (60)
I can see another enslaver by Seoul.

1340 BC (61)
(IT) That enslaver dies attacking Seoul. (13-1)

1220 BC (63)
An enslaver attacks an archer by Wonsan. It is dead. (14-1)

Maghreb units finally start to appear. I’m not very worried about warriors attacking spears behind walls.
(IT) A spear by Wonsan died to an enslaver. (14-2)

1180 BC (64)
(IT) The next research project is polytheism. It is time to start research tech to get monarchy.

1140 BC (65)
An enslaver kills an archer heading toward Wonsan. (15-2)
I gain a worker from this attack.

The blue square are some Maghreb units.
The yellow line is the worker path to get horses online.
The green stack is the workers with some protection working into Nubian territory.

Summary:
I’ve learned that AWM with CCM requires a lot of luck. To many early contacts, center of map, wrong civ (us or them), etcetera and it is a loss. This one finally worked out.
It comes down to can we take out Nubia quickly. We are strong compared to them for military.
If we double our empire size, then we have a decent chance.

With being near the top of the map I went pure north. This time it paid off. I want all exploration to find Nubian cities.

There is a settler approaching Nubia. It isn’t very clear when to put it. I really like the idea of putting it closer to Nubia.

Taking Nubia at the minimum will give us furs. That will finally get us a happy resource. Luxuries have been bad in this area so far.

This one still feels like a major mistake, or a bad RnG run could end it. I took a lot of time per turn this early debating everything. I have Seoul working the 2 cotton tiles to get us $4 per tile. Income is really needed.

Wosan , with those hills, looks like a candidate to build catapults. Also, a spot 3 north and 1 northeast from P'yongyang looks like a good spot for a coastal city with lots of seafood plus hardwood.

I got it.

Edit: Changed Capital to P'yongyang

I agree that city is a long-term powerhouse.

I'm curious curious the placement on Wosan. It looks like one tile north would have captured more hills and more river tiles. I'm sure I'm missing something since I can't compete on the same level as this illustrious crew!

At Seoul, eSpearman chases off Enslaver. (See screenshot for location.)

Notes:
The workers on the hill are 1 or 2 slaves short of being able to build a 1 turn road. I made a mistake and had 2 slaves start a road to SK Hynix.

I seems to me that Nubia is whipping its cities to produce troops to fight us. Unhappy people in the 2 former Nubian cities talked about the cruelity

imposed on them.

I believe the Nubia capital is to the North of us and you can see a part of its border sticking out of the Fog. Whipping might have kept its

population at 1 just like Axum (Axum should have grown to a population of 2 by now unless it was whipped). The Palace provides 1 culture per turn so

just waiting 10 turns will get a border pop and we can capture it without it being auto-razed.

There is a settler standing on the spot I think would make a good coastal city, the sea food will provide much needed income.

Here is our Empire:

Summary:
OUCH - I walked our settler all the way to Nubia, just so find the city of Samsung in that area.

The next goal should be to fill in some of the grassland between SK Hynix and Seoul with cities.

Sadly, I still don’t see an iron source.

Once Nubia is toasted, I would like to finish exploring the extreme northern tundra. I would like to know if there is anything that would justify another city in the area.
At some point we will need to push a few tiles of exploration toward the west. I would prefer Nubia dead before we do that.

What nation has the ship by Napata? It looks the Maghreb color, but I want to confirm a war declaration wasn’t missed.

It was a long set for JJ, but our empire size has doubled. I see 2 more cities to grab from Nubia. The most important is some internal cities now exist. Wonsan and Samsung should stay quite. Coastal cities always have an attack risk.

New game, new computer! I'm still getting CCM up and running.

Greebley, take the save if it's convenient. Otherwise, I might be able to get started on it tomorrow.

That ship by Napata is the Maghreb one that dropped off an Archer I killed.

Somebody's Enslavers keep showing up near Seoul. I know they are not Maghreb since Maghreb Units were attacked by them.

That settler had a long walk, all the way up to the buffalo north of Samsung then back down to where it settled only a few turns ago.

If we want to capture the 2 remaining Nubian town it probably is going to take about 15 turns at a minimum. Axum will not start getting culture until it becomes the capital and gets the palace.

I'm still working on getting CCM (+CA II) running. These things don't "just work" in Windows 10 :(

CCM "works" very well with win 10, 64 bit. The problem is CAII.

Btw: May be you have seen the revolution Flintlock is providing to C3C: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/sub-bug-fix-and-other-adventures-in-exe-modding.666881/ It can be, that the next version of CCM 2.50 uses the Flintlock solution instead of the Antal1987 exe. As Flintlock at present is improving the information that C3C can give directly in the game, may be he can be interested in adding some useful information to the game, that CAII would provide (if it would work with win10), p.e possible trades.
