Pre-turn: I look around. I don't change much.
IBT:
Greece wants to trade maps. Nah.
Inca declares on Egypt as they attack Hieraconpolis.
They have two retreats
Maghreb lose an Arty, promoting one of our Infantry
BTW Civinator, the Torpedo boat movement sound could use re-balancing. It sounds considerably louder than other ships.
Jul 1922 AD:
We quickly sack both Abydos and Asyut with the loss of 2 Dragoons. Giza is next -- barely a warm-up.
Heliopolis has more defenders -- including an Army! -- but that still only costs us 1 extra Dragoon. That puts Avaris in range, easy battle.
I send in Armies to get Memphis and Elephantine
There isn't much movement on the Maghreb front. I do kill a few stacks of attackers.
IBT:
Canada and Inca sign peace
Egyptian Ship of the Line sinks one of our warships near Elephantine.
Egyptian Rifle dies
Camel dies at Memphis
Second Camel destroys an entire Army, retaking Memphis. Ugh, I neglected to fortify some Infantry in the city

Invisible unit destroys a stray Great Artist
Maghreb ship sinks our troop transport near Elephantine
Another Maghreb ship sinks attacking our warship in the same stack
Maghreb Rifleman kills one of our Infantry
Bedouin Radier kills Dragoon in a stealth attack -- this one definitely had Infantry cover!
Chemical Industry > Mass Production
1923 AD:
We sell Steam Power to Oceania for Coffee, WM, and 154gpt.
We sell Jurisprudence to Israel for Furs, Cotton, 87gpt, and 29 gold.
Retaking Memphis - Army kills 3 Rifles; second Army routs a Camel Corps.
Battle of Hippo - 2 Camels die before we drive out the defenders.
Battle of Alexandria costs us 1 Dragoon along the way.
While clearing the area near Memphis, I net 3 new Leaders! I can only build 2 Armies, though -- so I commit wounded Dragoon armies to the fray to make space for new Armored Car armies. We do lose 1 Army this way
After consulting the thread, I make the deals for Chemical Industry: 18k+250gpt from Inca and Dyes + 5k + 340gpt from Persia.
IBT:
Egypt attacks...
Rifle dies
Rifle kills our Infantry
Maghreb Ship of the Line sinks attacking our fleet near Asyut (C8)
Two Adventurers die at the gates of Hippo
Jul 1923 AD:
Battle of Byblos - our ships bombard the city, sinking 2-3 ships before wounding some Eastern Musketeers. Our Infantry take no losses storming the port.
We lose a Camel at Pi-Ramesses but gain a Leader!
Culture-bombing Alexandria gets us easy access to...
Battle of Thebes - our first attack with our new Armored Car Armies doesn't impress. He gets down to 2/12 before running over the enemy Musketeer!
Even worse - we LOSE an army - I moved him in to attack a redlined unit and end up dying to an invisible unit!

Also obnoxious...the last attack is against a Great Artist who REDLINES OUR DRAGOON before falling. Ugh!
On the bright side, we now control the Sphinx!
Now I can pay full attention to the Maghreb. We lose 2 Armored Cars taking Annaba. We capture two Steamrollers when we take the city, though, so we have that going for us, which is nice.
Culture-bombing Annaba gets us access to Ariana, Zarzis, and Leptis Magna...which actually costs us about half a dozen Armored Cars. We also nab Beja.
IBT:
Lots of movement and ship bombards, no real action.
We lose our supply of Silks
1924 AD:
Here's the border:
Culture-bombing Beja turns out to be an utter waste. We don't get a single tile closer to Marrakesh

Leptis Magna does the trick - that gets us 1 tile closer to both Tangier and Marrakesh...which cost about 4 Armored Cars for us to take. This opens the way to Casablanca (1 loss) and Rabat (no losses).
Carthage itself is defended by a Gatling gun! We lose 5 Armored Cars just probing the defenses, then another elite 4 Dragoons between Army attacks. Happily, the city yields before we run out of units.
I test the walls at Utica, but the city has too many defenders to fall.
We sell Coal to Lowlands in exchange for Silks and 9gpt.
We also land a shipload of Infantry on the Chinese island
IBT:
China wipes out the Infantry stack I landed - they lose 10 obsolete units along the way.
Portugal declares on Canada
Inca declares on Canada
Maghreb Ironclad sinks one of our Protected Cruisers
They also kill three Adventurers and two of our Infantry, losing only 1 of their Infantry in the process
The Inca are building Theory of Relativity.
Jul 1924 AD:
Second Battle of Utica - our Armies already on the scene wipe out ANOTHER 11 units! Now we have Hanseatic League.
Culture-bombing Utica gets us Al Jadida (we do lose 4 ACs)
Algiers falls very quickly to 2 Armies
Oran requires all of our remaining Armies before it falls and gives us the Great Mosque of Cordoba
IBT:
China sinks one of our Steamers
Inca and Russia sign peace
Canada wants us to pay 104gpt for MPP + RoP
1925 AD:
We lose 5 Armored Cars attacking Theveste and Fes, but both cities fall.
We lose an Armored Cruiser against a Chinese Medieval Naval Explorer
Here's the situation at the end of the turn:
Only Leptis Minor remains -- I'm leaving it up to Greebley whether to burn the city this turn or wait until we can capture it.
Here's the Chinese strait:
This is technically the second landing; Chinese forces wiped out our first stack. We also have a ship full of troops SW of Nanking; I was planning to land them in the mountains, but they need flat ground to go ashore.
Handoff Notes:
There are a couple of Steamers in Alexandria that can still move if you want more Armored Cars on the Chinese Island before the IBT. I was waffling on that, myself.
Also note that lots of units are fortified near Lahore. I tried to centralize them.
The Settler landed on the Egyptian continent last turn. I'm not sure whether we can found cities next to each other with the current settings -- might be worth double-checking.
@Jersey Joe's suggestion of putting the city near Beijing would actually work if it can be built 1N -- anywhere else requires 11 ship moves from Alexandria.
