LK174, Civ=America, CCM3, True American Democracy

Joe, since we had such a surplus of cash, I did a one time rush of expensive stuff like factories and dockyards (though usually whatever shield increase was cheapest; or anti corruption for corrupt towns). Most towns will come in the IBT so you can choose what you want to build next - infra vs offense. There also may be a bias toward building Fords due to the fact they airlift (except for one turn tanks; those are hopefully all tank).

I am thinking the science leader probably doesn't stop regular leader generation so maybe keep it until a wonder comes up or we can do fast research again (anyone know for sure if it prevents leaders?). Rushing the Blue Riband wonder for just one turn seems kind of a waste. IIRC, it is 2 turns away now.

Yes, keeping an SGL in stock will prevent any new MGLs from appearing.

Thanks tjs,
I guess use it on the Blue Riband then.
If you're (all) resigned to rushing 'only' 200(ish?) shields anyway, then it seems to me that you might just as well use the SGL for an expensive generic improvement (or Small Wonder?) in Anywhere, Nebraska -- instead of an $800 cash-rush?

I don't see anyway to tell if we are still in our Scientific Golden Age. Can we even have a second Scientific Golden Age?
Right now I am inclined to keep the GL and rush Super Dreadnoughts when we learn the Dreadnought tech.
At this point in the game I don't see why I want to build any thing other than troops.

Early Teaser, not unexpected. I am saving the Great Scientist to Rush Heavy Tanks in Al Jadida. Also, Al Jadida is getting a building rushed every turn to catch it up to where it might be able to build troops reasonably fast. Largest problem with Al Jadida is corruption.

This may be an anomaly caused by my using a linux os and wine to run CCM3. However, the popup I get when I hoover over the ship shows it is a Chester Class Ship, but the info box in the lower right corner lists it as Olympia Class

I made a test in DEBUG mode with a ship of the Olympia class and the Chester Class and all information is shown well. Nevertheless thank you very much for posting all problems you see during the game.

Have you considered making a KVM virtual machine and loading Windows on it to run CIV3?
Just don't give it a network interface and you don't have to worry about it getting on the net.
Just food for thought.

Matt_G, great that you are posting here. Your reference file for RAR is a great work!

During this game I had the problem that the selected unit was not showing up correctly. I had not seen it before this game and it was fixed by exiting and restarting civ.

I was going to mention this but forgot by the end. I was thinking there might be something off with this save only with the unit listing. In my case it was the wrong steam roller was selected vs shown so I was getting confused on whether it was a foreign vs native steamroller, but I think it may have also shown up on other units which then caused me to exit and reload.

Sorry, I have no clue what could have happened here. If, after a new start of civ, this issue was fixed, at present I assume, that it is no problem of CCM 3.:hmm:

Lurker:

LK, is V3E the last version of your world map? I was wondering what the impact would be from the AI using 3 unit armies and large stacks of bombardment. Though they tend to not have 3 units that often.

Lurker:
I could not find it, but I discovered I already had the V3E version.
vmxa, can you upload a biq with that world map ? I like to have looks at all kinds of worldmaps about Civ 3.
