The standard worker house building is ordered up. After that I'll build exactly one scout to explore. Then the farmer's gambit for an early Slaver's Hut.
The first tech is Bronze Working. Better units are a good thing.

Pretoria is founded.

2700 BC (26)
(IT) Carthage completes their UW.
Arabia completes their UW.

2580 BC (29)
(IT) The next tech is masonry for walls.

2540 BC (30)
AW has officially begun. We have engaged the Germans.

A German scout has been killed. (1-0)

2380 BC (34)
There are 4 more visible German scouts.

2300 BC (36)
An enslaver kills another German scout. (2-0)

An enslaver kills 3 German scouts all siting on the same hill. (5-0)

2180 BC (39)
Real German troops have been spotted.

2100 BC (41)
(IT) Persia completes their UW.

2020 BC (43)
I kill a German warrior. (6-0)
(IT) An enslaver survives an archer attack. We have a new worker from defending. (7-0)
Research begins on iron working.
Nubia completes their UW.

1940 BC (45)
Cape Town is founded. We now have a source of coffee.
(IT) We lost an Impi to an enslaver (probably German). (7-1)

1900 BC (46)
I kill the offending enslaver gaining another worker. (8-1)
I kill another German warrior gaining another worker. (9-1)

I'm done exploring, so I disbanded our scout to save money.
(IT) Carthage completes the Colossus.

1780 BC (49)
I kill a German archer and 2 warriors. I gained 2 more workers. (10-1)

1740 BC (50)
I kill another German warrior. (11-1)
Our enslaver dies to a German warrior. (11-2)
An Impi follows up and kills that warrior. (12-2)

1700 BC (51)
Our enslaver stumbles on to an enslaver and dies. :( (12-3)
Our last enslaver gets revenge and adds another worker to our collection. (13-3)

1620 BC (53)
The first German spear is spotted.

1540 BC (55)
I see borders matching the German color.

1500 BC (56)
(IT) An Impi exploring those borders is killed by an enslaver. (13-4)

1380 BC (59)
An elite enslaver captures 2 German workers.
Sadly, there was one more worker in the area. That enslaver is in trouble.
(IT) As feared, that enslaver was killed. (13-5)

1340 BC (60)
Our wimpy enslaver runs away from an archer.

Summary:
Unit costs are killing us. After iron working we need to research something that gives a new building. A happy building would be the best. Polytheism for temples would be great.

I hope you have disabled the "respawn civs after elimination" option when starting the game. Good luck! 🍀

Hoping we chose continents so we don't have to fight every remaining civ at once.

Every AW game we have done has been Pangaea.
I'm hoping we can concentrate on killing Germany first. Back fill cities before risking to many more contacts.

Civinator, I found a small typo in the Civilopedia, there is also spacing typo in 5a. Food

To bad there isn't gold in them thar hills, for some happiness. Maybe Iron will show up there. :please:

We've gotten lucky with luxuries already. Having 2 with just 3 cities is great

My recollection of awe pangaea with a lot of civs is that it requires an aggressive playstyle and some luck - if we don't grow fast enough we will be overrun once we meet enough civs (Continents is somewhat easier with only 1/2 the civs coming at you)

Having armies will definitely help - I assume we need 10 towns to get one?

We got the first piece of luck. So far only fighting Germany. What we hope to do is take them out 100% before we get hit hard by other civs.
We also hurt their worker force some stealing 2. That should slow down there development.

The good news is a nice block of back fill area for our next few settlers. Going forward increases risk of to many early civ meets.

Thank you for reporting an error in the CCM 3 civilopedia, so the error is different from what you are reporting. :)

The correct listing in that civilopedia page is fixed, as you can see in the screenshot below - but the information is wrong, as since a longer time forest in CCM can be "mined". I fix this for the next update of CCM 3.

These "spacing typos" in the Civ 3 civilopedias are no "spacing typos", but are caused by the strange way Civ 3 formats the texts in the civilopedia. Here you can read more about it: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/the-annoying-holes-in-civilopedia-entries.681301/

I fixed myriads of those "holes" in the civilopedia texts before the release of CCM 3, but I am sure, that still myriads of them are still left in the civilopedia text. When looking into the CCM 3 civilopedia text under "5a Food" I found no longer such "holes" in the text. Please also note, that Firaxis in the civilopedia frequently used spaces before writing a new sentence, when there was not enough place available for starting with a new paragraph.

If forgot to mention part of the logic of the position of yellow city is it will link up perfectly with our German conquests.
