Can we save the enslavers to attack 1 defense units unless critical? We really can use the workers.

Got it

200 BC (0)
I see nothing to correct with our city builds.
Our big problem is our 30% luxuries. That is really hurting research.

150 BC (2)
The assault on Koenigsberg begins. I kill 2 spears and 1 archer. I lost 1 sword and 1 impi. (3-2)
The city was auto razed. :(
I pillaged $6. I gained 3 workers.
Germany has left the game.

1 AD (8)
The calendar problem is finally fixed. The years are going to move forward.

Our clan is currently walking toward red dot to claim the horses.

Yellow dot will be nice once we have harbors and ports. At this point it is a low priority.
Blue dot is the same as yellow, being a good city latter.

The green / grey dot area is one I'm not sure of. Green avoids overlapping with yellow but puts it an awkward one from the coast. Grey gets it coastal but gives up the potatoes for food. In addition, it comes with mild overlap with yellow.

The northern front where Germany used to be. The is ZERO reason to continue to explore up there. It is nothing but plains, so I don't want to explore that way.

The southern front is more interesting. At least there is more grassland to claim. The grassland with forest area holds promise for more high production cities.

I can't believe we haven't contacted another civ. With a coastal start some ships should have found us.

I don't want to explore the grassland in the south much further. At this point I want to wait to see who finds us. At this point I want to claim those back fill spots. The debate is one city forward into the grassland to avoid our capital being the main area with fighting.

Except for excel which still treats 1900 as a leap year.

I would move the grey dot 1 tile southwest. It is still coastal, no overlap, and it gains 3 more hills than where you have it.

I like the idea of building to the east of the Capital. It gets us a town closer to the civ we are going to fight next. Also, it puts us closer to any luxury or strategic resource we might discover. Here is a possible placement for 2 cities.

I prefer red dot of those two locations. We already see all that territory. I don't want to expose even more land area.

Pre-turn:

Looking around...it's WEIRD to see a city on Wealth at this stage of the game, but it's better than building regular units to drown us in unit support.

125 AD:

Bloemfontein founded by the horses
Horses hooked up, but ... nothing to build? Huh, we have to wait 'til Riding.

Zzz...

200 AD IBT:

Code of Laws > Mysticism, due in 9

225 AD, T110:

Still no sign of the enemy. Did we start on a small-ish island or something?

I'm going to hand it off. CoL allows Admin Centers, so I started some of those builds (including in the capital, where I normally wouldn't bother, because of unit support costs. Besides, it adds a content face).

This was a Pangaea start. I'm shocked no more contacts.

I'm thinking of those Pangaea starts where there's one unlucky small island separated from the main continent. Usually 1-2 civs that end up being super backwards the whole game.

Hard to find any sign of the enemy if you don't have anybody out boldly going where no one has gone before, looking for new life and civilizations. :yup:

Good to see you are roading 1 of Zimbabwe's forests. When Zimbabwe gets 2 more forests mined it should be at 30 shields per turn.

Lets not go to boldly. Especially along the plain mess above Germany. Not much we want in cities that direction.

I'm leary even going much further in the south.

Wait a minute, haven't we explored the entire coast south of us?

Should have said southeast. The grassland near Zimbabwe.

Pure south is 100% done.
