Loading Error

Ive built a new scenario for Civ 3: Conquest but when i go to test it out when loading i get a message that says

LOAD ERROR

Error Reading File

Missing Entry in text\pedialcons.txt :Animname

Game Will Now Exit

can anyone tell me how i could fix this please. Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to CFC! Does it just say ANIMNAME, or ANIMNAME_PRTO_unit's name here?

nope. just says ANIMNAME

Did you specify a civilopedia entry for the unit in the editor?

i didnt actually. ill give that a shot and tell you guys what happens.

Ok I went back and specified a civilopedia entry for the new units but now im getting the message stated above:

ANIMNAME_PRTO_(units name)

I think I'm making some progress here.

Ok at this point you should check out this thread:

Because there is no reason to type out the unit addition procedure here, I was just assuming you followed it and had only missed setting the unit's civilopedia entry. Hope it helps

When you add a new unit to the game, you MUST add a line in pediacons.txt

#ANIMNAME_NAMEOFTHEUNIT
Directory of the unit

ex:

#ANIMNAME_PRTO_Swordsman
Swordsman

The PRTO doesn't matter much. I've never cared to add it, for my part.
