Loading land units onto the naval units

Is there a mod for loading land units (military and civilian) onto a naval combat unit? If not, I'd like to request a mod like that, since manually moving units across the ocean is tedious.

I would really like to see some kind of transportation system for mid/late game.
Maybe something like carriers for land units.
Honestly, I don't see a reason why any ship couldn't carry a few combat/civilian units.
