Loading Modded Save Game - Start Game Bug

Whenever I try to load a game using my mods I get a black screen and the words Start Game, when it goes back to the main menu. I am able to start and play the game no problem, the issue only occurs when I actually try to load a game.

The mod consists of several civilizations and the error occurs even if I make a game that does not use the civs that are added by the mod.

I have tried searching for this issue, but I keep finding things unrelated to mod creation. I have also tried to look at the logs to see if there's any indication of what exactly causes the game not to load, but I haven't been successful there either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have looked at that page a dozen or more times and it never clicked until you just recommended it. I use gold from the Australia DLC in my mod, as soon as I added the Aussie DLC as a dependency it started being able to load the saves no problem!
