At the moment it seems that all the Civ's Unique Units and Buildings just have Unique Land Unit etc on the loading screen. Does anyone know if it's possible to change this?
The Denmark mod does show a unique naval unit, though I haven't checked what differences exist within the mod to achieve this. I'm guessing it's a class type or something.
what shows up on the loading screen is just from a text.xml file. You can change it to whatever you want it to say. You can add icons in it like in my confederate civ mod like [ICON_Production] or [ICON_CombatStrength] etc. Though I think if you make the text string too long it will automatically remove the icons for the units and buildings ie basically if the text spills over.
What text file? You can change the text for a unit for the selection screen. However AFAIK unique units are called either A unique land unit or A unique naval unit on the actual loading screen.
The only way you would change it is to re-write the lua for the loading screen, I think.
As mentioned as soon as you accept the setup of a new game or accept the saved game to be reloaded, nothing except a unique Unit, District, or Building's name and "A Unique Unit", "A Unique District", or "A Unique Building" show on the loading screen along with the leader name, civ ability, intro text, etc.
