we often stumble over ideas and then we inform you about stuff like the concepts below.
(All full concepts that already exist.)
This is written without a certain priority:
(Just listed the concepts as I found them in my local repository.)

1. More interesting game mechanics that still feel "natural"
2. More challenge and competition and diversity
3. More flavour and immersion - fitting new World
Now maybe you get a feeling for "my vision" ...

Have some patience and step by step I will introduce all those concepts to you.
I have had 13 years to think about that stuff and refine it to make sure it can be done and could be fun.

- Actual Triangle Trade (already on the "planned todo-list")
- Europe Travel System Rebuild (transforming "Travel Time" into "Travel Distance")
- Cultural Pressure System (Cities swapping Owners by Culture)
- Connection and Distance to Capitol (Road and Sea Connections)
- Trade Route System Overhaul (On Todo-List already since quite a while)
- Seaways System (Adapting DoaNE or creating a new implementation?)
- More challenging War of Independence (improving King AI and WOI strategies)
- Social Progress System (WTP enhanced better Tech System)
- Promotion System Overhaul allowing to specialize Units for very specific roles
- Military / Combat System Overhaul with e.g. Collateral Damage and Ranged Attacks for Artillery
- Diplomacy and International Trade Overhaul for new Diplomacy Options, Trade Options and Military Agreements
- Pirate Nation and Pirate Raids as new Barbarian Civ with own gameplay elements
- Religions of the New World as real game mechanic for competing religions
- Immigration System Overhaul (immigration as a competition by additional shared pool)
- Upkeep and Taxation (basically preventing steam rolling / snowball wins)
- Dynmamic City Screen (similar to what Melcher Kürzer did)
- Expansion of Nation specific Units and Buildings (for more diversity and asymmeteric gameplay)
- Worker XP System / Gathering Boat XP System (to make Worker Units more interesting)
- Enhanced Achievement System / Golden Years (actually more a small system but some potential)
- Neutral Traders (Italian Trades - as new Nation ingame - stopping at your colonies to trade)
- Civic System Overhaul (rebuilding the completely boring current Civic System to something fun)
- Loyalty to the Motherland (rivaling game concept to Liberty Bells)
- "Natural Wonders" (more of a "crazy brainstorming" at the moment - but interesting)
- "Storytelling with Unique Units" (more of a "crazy brainstorming" at the moment - but interesting)
