    Dude. Not even i am as spirited as you are. Gotta stay objective. Any personal judgement stays with yourself. This applies to the guy who called you out in the first place, too.
    this guy clearly doesn't understand the concept of iteration, and how that triggered you to react, and how you reacted, is beyond me.

    As for you, gazebo, do your thing. I think you've got about the right amount of "AI needs this" vs "players want this" and understand well what player suggestion good for the game and what not. Imho, not always, but most times. More times than probably all of us would.

    If you think so lowly of Gazebo and VP then why are you here? Why don't you just happily mod the game to your own liking since you so obviously know exactly how it all should be and Gazebo's tweaks are all so counter productive? Your understanding of the game is so perfect that you'd clearly make a much better mod.

    Seriously, though- why are you here? In past threads you've said you just want VP to be "finished" so that you can mod-mod from there. I still don't understand why you care about Gezebo proclaiming VP is "finished"- just declare it "finished" yourself and mod-mod. The game would then be exactly as you'd like it to be. If you're concerned that other people wouldn't use your mod because it wouldn't be compatible with VP's latest version if G keeps updating- that shouldn't be a concern when your mod-mod would so clearly be superior, right? Like, your decisions would be so much smarter than G's that everyone would recognize your mod-mod to be superior and would jump ship.

    By the time jungles are chopped and enough plantations are built for a monopoly, a measly 2:c5science: is a crappy monopoly. Then you've gotta build a garden to make the tile stand out a bit after having a mediocre and late to improve resource as your starter.
    I think extra baseline food and one more yield off the garden is perfectly reasonable for one of the worst resources in the game.

    Does sugar need the loss of base food? I assume it's suggested due to Marsh and Jungle spawns making them very good unimproved tiles, to the point where improving them sometimes seems like a downgrade. If that's the case should Sugar get that lost food back on the improved version?

    Generally, plantation starts on sugar are very strong right now, on the edge of too much so (especially since, unlike forest/jungle plantations, you gain yields by clearing marsh).

    Silver still seems a tad weak. Can we make it give +1:c5gold:/:c5production: on improvement instead of +2:c5gold:.

    Also I think Tea is infinitely more interesting with a +2:c5production: monopoly.

    I like the rest.

    Amber, Copper, Furs (forest or not), Gems, Jade, Lapis, Salt also can spawn as your initial monopoly in tundra. Plus Marble, and Dyes on heavy forest tundra starts. I'd say it's a 50/50 about mining resources being on flat tundra (meh) or tundra hills (huzzah). All of those, and Silver, do not spawn mostly in tundra either. It's just tundra being a meh starting place yield-wise, but can't balance no-tundra-specific resources (aka, all of them) around that.

    Care not to overdo it, if silver is going to sport +2C on tiles after your first 3 cities it becomes a valuable early monopoly already, better than gold or gems until mid-late game I'd say (and in late, Banks buff silver above its competitors).

    @Gazebo: I don't recall if this came up when Tea was changed, but was that +2 :c5production: monopoly an issue for the AI?

    If it was then I understand why it was changed and I support that. If it wasn't a problem for the AI, then I agree with ElliotS: +1 for tea being more desirable with a +2 :c5production: monopoly.

    It does seem like tea lost a lot of production in the last update. I agree that the +2 production to monopoly makes it better.
